As advertised. I bought this to replace one that went wandering, because I recently bought a thrift-store mirror I want to refinish. I've never actually used the instructions from this book or this author. I know she uses UK terms that might not match what you find in a US retail store, and it's possible this book references products that are harder to find today than they were in the 1990s.

I really thought that since this was an Annie Sloane book it would be about chalk paint and it was absolutely not. I didn't even find anything interesting in the book. It was all pictures and not enough about how to achieve the look. This is what I call a shame. I was so disappointed. I've bought several of her books all expecting to find things pertaining to chalk paint and none were. Don't waste your money.
