Works great with a power bank
Great charger. Works great with a power bank and turns the echo dot into a regular speaker you can move around anywhere.

Does what it says, long usb head, may be tough for usb ports in tight spaces.
Does what it says, usb plug is a little on the long side, but not enough to really be an issue, just something to keep in mind if your power source is in a tight location.

You need a 20w adapter for this to work properly
This power cord worked fine and I threw out my original cable... Until recently when I tried to have my Echo Dot play music (i havent done this since changing the cable) and suddently I hear a pop and it reboots itself. Every time I try to have it play music it does this. I later find out that its because the original power supply is about 20w. This cable is meant for a usb connector which is rarely ever 20w unless you're using a high end fast charger, so you can't use it with any real usb application. You need to have it plugged into the wall with a high end adapter. This listing doesnt mention at all that you need to use a 20w adapter with it. Its completely pointless to use this over the original adapter.

I bought this product to help me place my Amazon Echo Dot Kids version in a place where is can hear me, not be fought over by the children, and is out of reach of an outlet. This product works very well to power Ziggy the Owl from anywhere I need it powered. It also can charge a battery base and will fit in the hole for the optional nest base for the Owl. I am very pleased with this purchase
