I’ve tried a handful of other stands before, but most either wobble, use cheap plastic, or start to feel annoying after a week. This one’s different.First, the build quality is legit. Like anything with a 'boom' at full extension, this stand will become unstable if angled forward too far "over its skis" so will require great care in adjustment and before placing the screen or book on it as the joints are necessarily very stiff from the factory to hold the weight and since the two lower edge support lips are curved and not bent fully square at ninety degrees or preferably slightly less, a tablet or laptop could slip off over time by riding up the slope, (like an ultra slow-motion ski jump that could take seconds, minutes, hours or even days!), so be careful not to leave anything on it for long periods without monitoring its verticular position. Whilst of apparent high quality, the applied silicone rubber pads are not the grippiest I've felt, (probably just as grippy!), which exacerbates this potential for slippage and they are somewhat too smooth and slick to the touch given the application in my opinion so again, exercise caution until proven secure or apply Velcro pads of your own which are also available on Amazon below for example, though the strip rolls are better value; https://www.amazon.co.uk/VELCRO-Brand-Fasteners-Perfect-Office/dp/B0013BO0AQ?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1 For extra security if the stand will be placed in one spot for a long time or adjusted frequently and even to deter casual theft if you're a school teacher in a rough area, I would also use Velcro to fix the base in place as well as the tablet or laptop to the mounting plate but don't apply it to the existing silicone pads as it won't adhere properly and for maximum bite, use a back and forth twisting motion when pressing the base plate down firmly to fully engage the Velcro hooks into the loop side, which I'd apply to the item to be removed as the loops have a softer texture and don't attract as many loose particles and fibres as the hook side, (since they're obviously designed to do exactly that and they'll also ladder your nylon stockings something chronic!). One final word of caution if using Velcro is that you don't need much of it to prevent slippage so even the pads or coins may be too sticky to easily remove your device from the top platform and my suggestion would be to only apply one small pad in each top corner of the plate, hook side first, then with the loop side attached to it, peel off the backing paper and locate the lower edge of your device centrally on the bottom 'support' tabs, then slowly lower into place against the pads for plenty of security. Furthermore, by placing the pads or strips along the top edge of the mounting plate you'll prevent scuffing or scratching of the device upon removal when you prize it off from the bottom, levering as it will against the top edge unless you pull on that first but it will require much more force and could bend your expensive tablet. Now, if only the manufacturer had folded the lower platform edge to <=90 degrees, I wouldn't have had to write all that lot! Anyway, despite my excellent precautionary advice, (unpaid by the way Amazon and no, I don't own any shares in Velcro!), buy one without hesitation and you'll be fine with a laptop/notebook if it's stable but be very careful with a flat tablet, iPad or Microsoft Surface type 'fliptop' because of the more vertical angle that will definitely slide off over time if it isn't fixed or pre-fitted with its own sticky rubber pads. Powdercoated surfaces like this are also slick like Teflon so aren't the best for non-slip applications but they're very durable and easy to clean so there's no reason that this unit wouldn't last a lifetime, unless of course, you throw it out of the nearest window and it gets run over by a fully laden double decker bus when your brand new £3000 iPad Pro falls on the floor!

I was so happy with the first one of these, I bought a second one for my second laptop. They look really good and are great quality, and offer lots of options for height and positioning. They can be a little stiff to move about but means they hold their position well. I think they could hold quite a heavy weight given their robustness. I would highly recommend.

I love this great stand, which is solid and supportive and has a sleek simple design which looks good on any desk. It is well thought out with a big gap on the platform the laptop sits on, so it doesn't muffle the sound from speakers. It extends enough to use the laptop standing and is very adjustable for any height and angle when sitting. It would be 5 stars but I took off one star because there is a bit of play with the telescopic extension fully open and also it is overall a bit too stiff to adjust. But this also makes it very solid. Highly recommended!

Does the job and raises my laptop up to a decent height when sat on the settee. Very sturdy as well. The 'stops' at the front are a wee bit too big and I catch my wrist on them sometimes. But hey, this wouldn't be as noticeable if my laptop wasn't super slimline. AND of course, it gives more protection from sliding off the stand if used at a more acute angle.

Great stand for a laptop, it's really sturdy. It was quite stiff at first to get it into position but I'd rather that than it be loose. The ability to swivel the laptop on the stand is a great feature and worth the money.

Amazing product! It is extremely sturdy, well finished. You can adjust it in a lot of various ways. The ability to spin it around is amazing as well. Allows for great ventilation of a laptop. Great value for money.
