Grate Assembly
I asked the community if in buying this I was just getting the Grate or the grate assembly. I received two answers saying that it was just the grate, and that was incorrect. It is indeed the entire grate assembly, which should not be confused with the Durock Drain Assembly. The Grate Assembly includes the grate and the adjustable plastic pieces that are installed into the drain assembly at the same time you lay your floor tile. Amazon should change its listing to read: USG Durock Shower System-Pro Series Grate Assembly--4" Professional Grate Brushed Nickel"

Makes building a shower floor so easy with no issues of leaking. This is the second kit I've purchased and will be purchasing another one soon.

Stamped sheet metal over plastic.
While this is the genuine Durock shower grate: its nothing special. It's just stamped sheet steel over a plastic core. Woo, I guess. Any other 4 in grate will work just as well. Will replace with a proper 1/4" milled or punched stainless steel 4 " plate when I get around to it. The seller was great, no problems or anything. Just the product is disappointing as it could have been made better.

Complete floor drain kit for shower floor.
Beautiful shower floor center drain. The drain comes with all of the necessary parts to install the drain (that is not too clear in the description).
