I can't in good sense or faith give this 5 stars. I want to. But I can't! For the love of all, I LOVE bad movies. I love GOOD bad movies. In it's day this was actually still... kind of a bad movie.... and yet, I dig it. And so do a lot of folks. With bad movies, i recommend skipping through certain scenes and montages, and this flick is no different. 1. When the prisoners are playing in the mechanic shop... skip it. It's so bad. 2. In fact, skip every montage. 3. Skip the 2 minutes of dramatic lead up into any 'climatic' scene. The plot is thin, and the characters are ripped, and the overall logic and 'story' are ... well... it's a fantasy. Don't come into this thinking otherwise. Sylvester puts on a good performance, and so do the other actors that take the spotlight. Especially considering the era and style of film. It's worth watching, as long as you have the fast forward button in hand. Just enjoy the good parts.

Great film one of stallone's best in his legendary film career the late donald sutherland is fantastic as the evil prison warden as well.

This blu-ray transfer is fantastic. The difference in quality between this and the DVD is night and day. This is one of Stallone's best and most underrated films, and easily one of his best performances. Don't expect an all-out action fest, it's more of a prison drama until the third act when it becomes a tension filled escape thriller. Just don't go in expecting Rambo in prison. Stallone delivers a fantastic heartfelt performance here. With that being said, when the action is there, it's awesome, especially towards the end of the movie. Again, the blu-ray looks great, however it's really lacking in the special features department. All in all, this is one of my favorite films and I'm glad to add this blu-ray to my collection.

Really did know this cool movie is available in 4k uhd and I have to say it is a very good transfer... Donald Sutherland is awesome along with Stallone... And a nice slipcover as well Dolby vision and 5.1 DTS HD

En su momento me fue imposible conseguir esta pelicula en formato bluray, de repente me la encontre en este formato 4k, con el doblaje original en español latino de su epoca, el remaster que le hicieron tanto al audio/video es magistral, una joya absoluta

Mon commentaire est valable pour Lock Up [Blu-ray] [Import anglais ]. Comme ce film n'est pas sorti en France, on est obligé de passer par l'import et c'est pas toujours évident de savoir à quoi s'attendre, donc je vous fait part de mon expérience avec l'import anglais, reçu et visionné aujourd'hui. Alors très bon film bien sûr, images très bonne qualité, et il y a bien une version Française, qui est la version française de France et non pas du français international, donc c'est un bon point. L'audio de la VF n'est pas HD par contre, c'est la même que celle de l'édition DVD. La VO par contre est excellente. Étant un import anglais il est bien sûr lisible sur nos lecteurs Blu-Ray de France ! A priori il semble identique à l'import Allemand, mais personnellement je préférais la pochette de celui-ci, qui est fidèle à l'image présentée.
