The snaky spring is the perfect way to demonstration wave motion and oscillation. It is also ideal for demonstrating to students the fundamental princibles of wave theory, such as transvere and longitudinal waves, as well as the behavior of a wave at the interface of two types of media. A hook on either end of its 6.5 foot length allow it to be attached to a fixed point. Closely wound to 3/4" in diameter, it can be extended up to approximately 33 feet in length.
