I love a good cookbook. Betty Crocker never disappointments. Lots of great recipes in here.

great ideas, quality construction

I was looking for some particular recipes, and I didn't find them in this book. I couldn't help feeling disappointed. I really was looking for two long lost recipes. I don't really think the title fits the contents. The recipes are pretty standard. I love cookbooks and I have enjoyed reading this one.

I am absolutely in love with this book. The full-color illustrations are set on foxed and yellowed looking pages for vintage charm. Original homemaking tips from Betty Crocker are included at the beginning. Each recipe has a bit of food history included. But best of all, these are many of the recipes my mother made. And because she had them committed to memory, and has never wanted to sit down and write them out, they really were lost to me. Until I got this cookbook. And there they are! Beef stew, pot roast, Waldorf salad, yellow cake... just like my mom used to make. I couldn't be happier!

Not impressed, the red original is better, has more recipes. The hardcover is damaged on all corners and smells weird. Will return
