I have used John Frieda Hair Dye for decades. What has happened it - it has changed. It dyes my roots a ginger colour instead of chocolate brown, my hair is dry and my scalp itches. I am hugely disappointed that this easy to use foam hair dye has had its formula changed. I now have to look for another make. Why do manufacturers alter something that is perfectly good?

I always buy this dye its the best one ive ever tryed been using it a few months now have told friends about it will countie to buy this dye absolutely amazing

SO pleased! Unfortunately at around 20 I started to get wirey white hairs and greys, at 26 there's lots more than I started with. I can't afford to keep going to the hairdressers which meant I was leaving it too long and it was making me feel a bit insecure. I haven't dyed my hair myself since I was about 18 so was a bit worried but this was really easy. I'll be continuing using this product x

Wrote a previous glowing review about Med Choc Brown colour, after very first time using this product. Unfortunately after a few washes after writing it, the colour faded dramatically. Perservered, used another 3 boxes same shade over a few months. Same result- great at first, then noticed top of head at roots noticeably lighter than rest , almost a dark blonde compared to choc brown rest. So it wasn’t covering my grey roots. So switched to Dark Chocolate Brown- and couldn’t see hardly any difference between the shades. Certainly no darker. And again the roots were much lighter , so ended up with dark ends, then a mid brown section, with dark blonde roots. And the condition seemed dull , after using for about 5 months. So switched back to Castings again- and roots covered completely ! And hair much shinier. Hair is more even colour all over. Ok it will fade as it’s a semi- but much better result. So sorry John Frieda, you are no longer my friend I’m afraid.
