This light is fantastic. It is a nice size and has some weight to it. Because of its size, it’s easy to use it while doing other things. I often use mine in the morning while having my morning coffee and watching the news or weather. Sits nicely in my end table, and puts out enough light that I don’t feel I have to have it right in my face! Love the features! It’s nice to be able to select the kind of light you want, the brightness and set a timer from 10-60 minutes! Im not a Dr so I can’t say if it helps with SAD, but many drs recommend it. I say, why not give it a try until the days get longer and the sunshine gets stronger!!!!! Very Happy with my purchase! Very fast shipping and good packaging as well!

The brightness is 10,000 lux or more. The base is stable. The buttons are simple to use. It looks nice. My favorite thing about this lamp is that it can be tilted downward. Doctors have stated that in order for a light therapy lamp to work optimally, the light needs to come down and hit the top of your retina (like the sun does), so all of these other lamps out there that sit on a table and face up are wrong. I put a small shelf on my wall above my couch near my face where I sit to read in the morning and there rests my beautiful new lamp. The only thing that would have made it better is if it could be set to come on at a certain time and I would’ve bought a second one to use as an alarm in my bedroom. I have a sunrise alarm in my bedroom currently that goes up to 200 lux with birds chirping but it doesn’t make me want to get up like a true light therapy lamp does. If you’ve noticed your mood dipping or your motivation taking a dive as the days get shorter, then I highly recommend you purchase this light therapy lamp and spend time with it (above you, facing down) every morning. While you’re there, open your Bible and talk to God, and you are sure to start feeling 100% better.

Well worth price. Excellent design and features I feel better when used as directed. Remote control makes use easy save and read instructions. Makes a great gift.

This light is very functional and bright. I’ve been using it for about two weeks, its been helpful to have during these dark winter days.

Adjustable brightness, color and time. The light and base come assembled so there are no parts to lose. The base is heavy so the light is very stable. It is also adjustable so it can shine on you from several different directions. You can also rotate the lamp screen from portrait to landscape or anywhere in between. My wife and I each have one and we are both happy with them.

I originally bought this for my mom, 77 years of age, who struggles with increased depression during the darker, winter months. She has a difficult time with technology. After just one session, she understood how and when to use it. She is back to her energetic self and has a more positive outlook. She loved it so much, I got one for myself. I spend most of my days indoors and recognized I needed some help too. Now I have the energy I usually have in summer and my mood has improved significantly. The light is easy to use. I would buy this as a gift for anyone struggling with seasonal affect disorder. I am also a licensed professional counselor and would recommend this to clients.

The labeling indicates it delivers 12,000 lux at 12 inches. However, the brochure accompanying the product indicates that to receive an illumination of 10,000 lux, your face needs to be 10cm or 3.9 inches from the lamp (see image). Totally not practical. Measuring the lux at 3 inches with two iPhone apps they both registered < 10,000. The iPhone lux meter may not be that accurate, but with both apps indicating less than 10,000 and the product manual indicating a need to be a mere 3.9 inches from the lamp, there is little reason to think one is receiving the 10,000 lux illumination suggested in much of the medical literature. Nothing in the product manual indicates it is possible to achieve an illumination of 12,000 lux. Also it was nearly impossible for me to know which color temperature setting was on. The listing of them in the product brochure was not clear to me (see image). While I could discern some change when pressing the appropriate button, I was not sure which temperature setting was active. The device does not indicate which temperature setting is on. The color temperature differences depicted in the photographs advertising the lamp were quite clear, but to my eye the real life change, except for the warmest, were very hard to be sure. The device seems solid, the screen rotates well and angles easily. The 10cm requirement is a shame since that is not realistic. Their suggestion to move the light to 20cm (7.8 inches) from your face and double the time to 1 hour to receive 5,000 lux illumination is not practical either. Will be returning.

Great product for a very competitive price - I have tried a few of these and they were much smaller, had flimsy stands, buttons not as easy to use, and didn't last very long as a result. This model seems to be very high quality. It is very sturdy, good array of easy to use touch style buttons, the pivoting parts are so useful. I like things to be tidy, and this lamp, when folded down 90 degrees sits horizontally on my nightstand neatly, as in my photo. I just fold up the light as needed in the morning. It is very bright and the large size of the screen emits quite a bit of light. I read that it is beneficial to have a larger lighted surface area for light therapy to work. When I am in bed, it is big enough that i can tilt it facing down toward me - this way the light flows from above to the top of my eyes. I have read top down light source is the most effective manner to the use light for seasonal affective disorder; works better than just facing the screen. I was contemplating getting a floor lamp style if this wasn't a success, but they were pretty intrusive looking. I'm happy as think that this will be perfect for me. I just wish it had a) a sunrise timer that would turn it on automatically in the morning, and/or b) that it was Alexa enabled. However that's a big ask for the price point - and I am very happy with what I received and definitely will be keeping it. I returned two because they were way too small...one had misleading marketing which said it was 15000 LUX, and was actually 10 so look at all the info before you buy...titles not always right!.

Is high quality!! Light is effective at a distance!! Timer is so helpful and the the touch sensors for increasing brightness is so important!! I bought this for my daughter and she has felt a difference!! I’m so thankful I bought this one .. Well worth the price.
