Carson Dellosa Big Box of Sentence Building for Kids

My granddaughter is eight years old and unable to read at all. She was removed from public school this year and she has begun to read and write sentences in two months. This set of word puzzle pieces has allowed her to learn words, begin writing sentences, and use proper punctuation. There are a sufficient number of words to configure many sentences. There are also a few blank puzzle pieces to use if the set does not contain a needed word. A most helpful addition for homeschooling or as an aid for a beginning student.

Great for my small group of students who struggle with forming and writing sentences. This allows me to teach multiple parts of speech and parts of sentence structure.

This 250 piece Big Box of Sentence Building resource is my go-to small group resource for Reader's and Writer's Workshops. The sturdy puzzle pieces are just right size for primary students hands. Students can manipulate the words into sentences - a skill many of my students struggle with during writing. The puzzle pieces are color coded which makes them perfect for teaching parts of speech, punctuation mark pieces so students can correctly end their sentences, and with a total of 250 cards (4 blank puzzle pieces to add your own words!) including sight words, word families, and even digraphs, there are limitless possibilities for sentence building. Using this Big Box of Sentence Building puzzle pieces I am able to help students develop essential knowledge and skills for reading success through a fun phonics game! What I like best about this product is that it saves me SO much time. Not having to prep word cards saves me valuable time that I can now spend working with my students.

Sentences- There are SO many pieces in this kit! Everything I need to get started right away is in the box - easy prep and no wait time, both huge perks! There are countless sentences that can be made by rearranging the pieces. You will want to be aware of your student’s (or child’s) phonics abilities while using this set. It will be helpful to set aside particular pieces for use during a learning session or lesson. If you are giving too many it will overwhelm, and you don’t want to encourage guessing. The possibilities with just this box could provide hours of learning opportunities. All of the materials are made to last, reflecting the high standards I expect when picking something from this brand. It’s definitely something that can be used in a primary school classroom! Early Learning- So many ways to play!!! Practice letters and/or sounds with one set. Another set counting or identifying numbers to 25. Shapes with another set. Another set has colors. Enough for 3-4 different stations to be played at one time! Perfect for morning bins, which are a favorite activity in my classroom. The pieces are durable so they can, and will, be enjoyed by so many students. The pieces are also big enough for independent, confident play. I was so surprised how many activities came in one box. *I keep my stations in zipper bags to make them easy to rotate each morning, they do not come in bag like that. Great gift for growing kids to learn to form sentences

High quality

Purchased a smaller set and was disappointed. The larger set is a great value for the money. Easy to use with other similar sets (NOT an exact matchup). Great functionality and durability with whiteboard markers.
