Great set. I’m a beginner. Hook sizes easy to identify

The metal hooks are good. My main issue is the bamboo ones. They’re AWFUL. First, there’s random red dye on the hooks and plastic tubing and they left a yellow dye all over my hands (I assume it was used to color the bamboo). Second they snag the yarn horribly. They’re not smooth at all. Third they’re inline. Not tapered like the metal ones. I do wish the metal ones went up to 10mm like the bamboo ones. That’s also disappointing. I guess it’s an ok set for beginners to see if you like it before spending more money on good hooks.

good tools, but the hook catches on the yarn while crocheting due to its splinter nature. so not the easiest to crochet with. okay comfort on grip. good variety, and looks cute. would be better with a sealant or better sanding on hook pieces.

This is a great purchase for someone who wants to learn something beyond the way Grandma taught us

The extra-long crochet hooks/needles work well to allow you to put your whole row of stitches to create the new line of stitches being created today.

Not only is every bamboo hook rough to the touch so they snag the yarn, but 3 of the hooks were damaged where they grab the yarn so it makes the yarn split, the plastic tube cable that is attached isn't flush with the hook so it catches the working stitches, the plastic tubing is also very lightweight so it bends resulting in stretching out the working stitches at the beginning of the project, AND the hook size is stamp-burned into the hooks and didn't appear to be samded down which ALSO snags the yarn. I am new to tunisian crochet, so I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on cabled hooks to learn with, so I expected mediocrity. I didn't expect completely unusable junk. The aluminum hooks were adequate, but essentially over half of my money was wasted because half of the items are garbage. If you're just learning tunisian crochet like me, don't order these, they're so impossible to use that you'll just end up rage quitting before you even know if you're going to like this style of crochet or not.
