I purchased this Artecho Oil Pastels set (48 colors) for my niece after finding out she recently got really interested in drawing and experimenting with different art supplies. She had mentioned wanting to try oil pastels, so I thought this would be a great starter set for her. The 48-color variety is actually perfect for beginners. It gives enough colors to explore and be creative without being overwhelming like some of the really large sets. After using them, she told me the pastels feel soft and easy to work with, which makes coloring and blending smoother. That softness seems to make a big difference compared to some harder pastels she had tried before. First off, im a proffesional artist. Had many one man exsibits and work in mixed media. These are lovely pastels, they dont crumble, they dont break, even on hard surfices. they blend wonderful and are soft and maliable. Colors are vibrant and gorgeous. Layering is superb. Cant say enough positive things about this item. Will buy again.

Sooo nice to work with. Before this I used cheaper ones (cray pas) that weren’t bad for the price but kind of frustrating to work with. These however are laid down so well, and layer amazing. The colors are bright and pastels are pretty large for an oil pastel. I feel the price was very fair from how nicely these work. I’m definitely going to enjoy these.

I've never used pastels before but found that they were fun to use and the colors were bold. Well worth the money for a beginner set.

I really enjoy working with these pastels. I have created a lot of interesting pieces with these, and haven't run into too many issues. They blend very nicely, using my blending tools. There is some color pick-up when layering certain colors, and some colors seem better quality than others. But they are all very pigmented and very workable. I'm very new to oil pastels and these made it easy for me to dive into this medium. Definitely will purchase again, and I can confidently recommend these to other artists, students, etc..

I’m a beginner looking for an affordable option, and this set is beyond my expectation. The quality is very good, color is very vibrant and smooth, easy to blend. I love this macaron collection, this is exactly what I’m looking for.

Overall great, it doesn’t break easily, very thick, exceeded my expectations. The Color variety is good, and it’s very pigmented, smoothly glides free on any paper. Lasts along time, I’d recommend.

Really lovely oil pastels, they lay down beautifully, the pallet is nice, they blend well, and are apparently nontoxic. The price was good too.

Excellent colour variety of oil pastels that are nice to use and offer a soft creamy medium. My kids have lvoed using these for art because the vibrant range of colours make them appealing and fun to use. I am happy for them to use these as they're an affordable option that balances good coverage and blendability with the price point. They draw well to my amateur hand...i certainly couldn't complain that the pastels were inhibiting my drawing ability!
