ONLY on the edges where pads slide on silver hardware installed on bracket. WHY? They squeak especially when brakes are applied harshly. Update: Even when not using the lube provided on the back of the shims, these pads squeak. Not sure why. I had the same issue with both front and rear pads. I can only hypothesize that the rotor has to be a Bosch as well in order not to squeak. They do fit nicely and the stopping power is good, the main issue is the squeaking. Update: After driving for a number of days, the squeaking did not go away. I ended up replacing the pads with Raybestos EHT862H. I had to grind the edges so that they will move freely in the hardware channels. Other than that, they make NO noise.
