Filing wafers may be required
I rekeyed old style Acura and Honda cylinders in the 1990s and early 2000s, this is a bit more complicated but doable by DIYer with a bit of patience. Ideally I would have done this on the kitchen table with a light colored towel to keep springs from rolling, but my wife was piecing a quilt there so I used my mouse pad. Start at the inner most and tape the chosen wafers in place with tape before moving to the next wafer. I used clear cellophane, but painters tape probably would have worked better. Some of the wafers are a little tall compared to those from an OEM cylinder and had to be carefully brought flush with a jewelers file.

Does not fit 2003 Honda Odyssey
I did not realize that the parts supplied did not fit my 2003 Honda Odyssey. I did not discover this until I had removed the ignition lock from my car and dismantled it. When I had the lock apart, I realized that the lock was different and would not interchange. I tried using the tumblers to rebuild my lock but they were either too long or too short. I ended up pulling all of the tumblers out of my lock so that I could use it and not have my car crippled in my garage while I awaited new parts. The quality of the castings supplied was poor and appeared crude compared to what was supplied by Honda. The vendor needs to supply a PDF of detailed instructions. U-Tube provided helpful videos.

Good for rebuilding lock cylinder, not perfect
Overall I got what I needed from this kit for my 2009 Honda Fit. I used it to rebuild the existing ignition lock cylinder, which I was able to remove from its housing. If I were to use this kit on its own however, I would run into some problems. The kit comes with 3 of the 1-6 tumblers and I needed 4 of one specific one. If you had no others you could just go without a tumbler in one of the holes, it won't cause any problems, but I was able to reuse one from my old cylinder. Another problem this kit has is with the black plastic piece which did not fit snug in the cylinder housing, causing it to fall down with gravity a little bit and basically become another tumbler which could not be lifted. So again you could go without using it, I'm pretty sure it's purpose is just to stop debris getting in there, but I just reused the old cylinder which has that plastic piece in there firmly (it isn't removable either). Overall though I was impressed with this kit, the tumblers themselves are good quality and well cut. I bought another set of just tumblers of a different brand and about half of them were cut too poorly to use. The kit also includes the replacement dowels which are very nice to have.

Great money saver if you can do it
This is definitely a level five of five skill. But if you know what your doing or watched 3 or 5 YouTube video it will be fine! That is if you got the original one out already! If not stop what your doing and do that!

Not as advertised
I got a completely put together lock set with keys. Had to pull it apart inorder to rekey it to fit my original keys. Wasn't too happy with that as I expected it to get already disassembled. But everything works so far, we'll see how long it lasts.
