This gun rack is initially flimsy feeble and just ok ... the reason why I gave this gun rack a 5 star is because this gun rack has a potential to be great. I have a Silverado 1500 single cab ... so i am limited from the get go with space. Take some black electrical tape and wrap the TOP flange of both racks , one time... then take the electrical tape and wrap the BOTTOM flange six times ( this will ensure grip ) this alone helps the product 50% more , but still not stout. I made a 16" distance placement between racks I took a 1/4 wooden dowel , ( if you are a welder , you know what you can do with metal instead ) cut two16"s length Painted black ... starting with small drill bit , drilled small holes on each end dead center ... progressed to next size up , drilled, next size up , drilled 1/2 " depth Got four 1" wood screws with lock washers ... ( painted top black ) Install dowels lower & mid section where there are designated holes ...snug to tight ... the gun rack is sturdy and stout ... see photos

It’s nice not to have to drill any holes in my truck but I’m having a really hard time getting it to stay in place. I can only get it so far into the gap between my truck and the window and it doesn’t stay very tight, a ratcheting system would be better.

These did not stay put in my 1984 F350- so I took the advice of another reviewer and wrapped electrical tape around the top and bottom so it fit more snug in the window track. I’m going to buy some black screws and nuts so it blends in with the black. Looks nice in my window. Unfortunately, I live in a state were you cannot open carry, so this will be used for my bow and arrow.

I installed this in a Century camper shell on a 99 Chevy S10. I put it in the window on the side of the camper shell (my windows can swing up on the side but lock so I locked one and don't use it with this there). I used a little padding on it (cloth) so it doesn't hurt the soft rubber and keep a fishing rod and my cane the doctor keeps getting on to me to use on it. (guess which one gets used more :P ) My truck is a single cab so it would fit if I were not 6ft 4 and have to have the seats back all the way but it's a little tight in the S10's on the window's. Older trucks would do better IMO. It has little wing nuts (2) it uses to tighten when you get it to the right spot. It can be a little tricky to get it extended, hold it, and then tighten those screws. I suggest using a friend or buying someone a burger and making a friend and then using them to help you. You need to be sure you have the proper windows for this if your going to buy it. It is wedge mounted, you need windows with a place for that wedge to go (or you could put screws thru that big wedge into your truck if you wanted I suppose). I thought this was obvious but whatever... I love mine, great for the price.

Horrible, CHEAPLY MADE, plastic, gun rack that is too small to even fit a normal sized rifle in. Extremely flimsy and low quality. Don't buy this. Spend more and get something worth a crap.

This rack for the rear truck window seems to be of pretty decent quality, though I did question its ability to securely hold a its intended load if the truck is on a rough trail... woefully, I shall likely never know. The rack pieces were fairly easy to adjust for proper fitment in the intended 2012 Silverado REGULAR CAB pickup truck. But... we quickly discovered that the design of rack wouldn't allow for carriage of any long loads in the rack without moving the seats forward and/or removing the seat head rests. The passengers' (and driver's) heads (and the head rests when the seat(s) is/are positioned back near the rear cab wall) would be constantly touching and or hitting whatever is loaded in the rack. I had thought that I was going to outsmart the limited space in the cab by hanging my snow brush/ice scraper on this thing... but forgot to account for the protrusion of the rack and the racked item into the cab from the rear window. Please don't be like me, and remember to consider that 4-6 inches before you order. I will not fault the rack for my error, and give it 5-stars, as I am unable to review without a score. I think I'll pass this rack on to a friend who might find a use for it.

Perfect to hang a hat or fishing rod on and even better to help transport your rifle around. It helps free up space while transporting your guns from home to the field.

Ich gebe dem Produkt 3 Sterne nicht weil das Produkt schlecht ist sondern weil die Verpackung völlig kaputt geliefert wurde. Gottseidank waren alle Schrauben noch vorhanden und das Produkt nicht beschädigt.

Looks great. Nice and sturdy. Easy to install. When I go hunting I will have to remove the backseat headrests though; but that’s just the design of my pickup.
