Tefal Delight 5 Piece Non Stick, All hobs Compatible excluding Induction, Black B470S544

**** OVERVIEW **** Needed a set of starter pots and pans for moving into mine and the girlfriends new place, knowing Tefal was a good brand I decided to give these a whirl. **** PROS **** * when these things say they're non stick, they mean it. If you don't want to cook with oil then these pots & pans won't be phased, but who doesn't want to cook with coconut oil though eh? * Cleaning these with the non-stick ability is a breeze. * They feel and look good quality, also lightweight. * Also good to have that Tefal red dot in the middle of the pans, takes the guess work out of when to stick the steak in.. even if it could be slightly gimmicky. * Let's be fair here, this set for the price is very very good, if you're a KEEN cook then you'd want to get heavier pans which have greater heat displacement and holds it better, but these for example could be used for new home owners, students or people who have to update their run down set. * 3 pots: could be described to the average student as smallest is for beans, next size up is rice and next is curry pot. * 2 pans: smallest is for omelette or pancakes and next for your normal searing needs. **** CONS **** * as stated above, even though these are a good price, you can tell by the weight of the pots & pans that they lack cooking quality, heat displacement and ability to retain heat to cook. But for a starter set, no complaints. **** FINAL THOUGHTS **** Very happy with this set, for the price there are no complaints - and for that reason alone of price and quality of the non-stick I'll be giving these 5*'s. I would still stick to Tefal but maybe get some heavier pans from their premium range, I am a KEEN cook, but for the budget when moving houses these are what I could afford at the time, I have no regrets and I look forward to using and reviewing the more premium range.

Great pans, been using for about a month now and haven’t had an issue with the non stick functionality. Great value for money and they look nice in my draws. Easy to clean with the non stick and also very easy to cook with. Only thing is that they aren’t very wide so would need a larger one for a main pan.

I bought these while they were on sale and despite an initial pang of regret when I opened the box and and saw how small the items were, I'm actually quite happy with them given the overall quality and the price I paid. These are the type on pans that are ideal if you're cooking for yourself or two people are most, IMO. They're not tiny, they're just smaller than regular sized pans but this was a blessing in disguise for me as I do cook mainly for myself and it saves space.. also, easier to clean. Only reason I didn't give 5* is because I feel that there should be a more explicit effort by the sellers to display the different scale of the items if they're smaller/larger than usual as I did briefly consider returning these due to my different expectation. However, like I said I am happy with them and will be keeping them anyhow :)

good quality set but not all are pots are useful

I seen a review before I bought them, saying they was smaller in size, I thought they would be slightly smaller BUT yes they are definitely small in size to my old set, would only recommend for a single person or a couple BUT they are fab for the price and you can’t complain one bit! Happy with purchase

I've used Tefal for years so when my daughter needed a set of pots and pans for uni I immediately turned to them again. This set of 5 is perfect for her needs. In fact it's probably too much but better to have more than not enough! 😜 It arrived the very next day after ordering thanks to Amazon Prime (extra subscription charge) packaged neatly together. You get 3 pots (2 with glass lids) plus 2 frying pans in the set. The set comprises of :- 1 x 14 cm milk pan 1 x 16 cm saucepan with glass lid 1 x 18 cm Saucepan with glass lid 1 x 20 cm Frypan 1 X 24 cm Frypan It's non stick coating makes it easy to clean plus Tefal's patented Thermospot technology on the frypans lets you know when the pan has reached optimum cooking temperature. They are dishwasher safe and also oven safe up to 175 degree celcius for up to an hour including the Bakelite handles. The glass lids are vented and lets steam escape without having to remove it. In summary this is a great set of pots and pans to have. They're durable and easy to use and maintain. I would be happy to recommend it.

First impressions was very good quality. Positives: 1) The shape of the handle is ergonomic and easy to hold with a strong feel. 2) The red spot in the middle changes colour when the pan is hot enough which is very helpful. 3) Non stick coating works really well. 4) Does not take long to heat up. compared to thicker pans. Negatives: 1) There is non stick coating all around this pan including the bottom, so when you want to move the pan on the hob (to move food around the pan) the bottom coating scrapes off very easily. It would have been better to keep the bottom as stainless steel with no coating or another material. 2) The pan is very thin. For the price and the brand I was expecting a more robust feel, weight and thickness however it seems a little too thin for a premium/high-rated brand. 3) The chrome metal part of the handle which attaches the black handle to the pan - water gets trapped inside of this after washing. You have to drain the pan with the handle facing down to avoid trapped water. I think over time trapped water will eventually rust the connecting part of the handle, the screw. Another problem with this is water drains onto the hob if you forget to drain it out properly and go straight into cooking. 4) The milk pan is useless when pouring milk/liquid. There is no pouring point around the rim, which causes the issue of liquid flowing along the outside of the pan and falling off at the base (which means liquid/milk all over your table). Very bad design.

Great basic saucepan set at a great price.
