Brilliant
Great, bought to waterproof my hiking boots and worked brilliantly. Use alongside the wash which I did first. East to use

Great DWR spray
I have tried others and find this is still the best for breathable, Event, Iso, Gortex fabrics. I use as the last layer after tech wash and wash-in reproof to give a nice DWR finish. It covers garment easily and with wide spray and when dry the water beads off. It is pretty smelly so best to do it outside or in the garage and let the garment dry or your house will be honking of it. I use it on jackets, gloves, shoes, umbrellas, just about anything to be honest. Best to get a few bottles as once you start you can't stop.

Easy to use and good results
We decanted this into another kitchen spray container and then covered our jackets and ski wear. This bottle managed to cover 4 ski jackets, 4 trousers, 12 pairs of gloves, baby ski boots and baby all in one snow suit. We were very generous with the spray and were pleased to have over a quarter of the bottle left. We had no problems skiing and everything remained watertight following treatment. It does leave some residue in small white dots if too much is applied in one spot- we lightly dabbed this off with a dry cloth which seemed to work. Spray in a large space and put down sheet to protect any surfaces. Does well to dry outside.

Good product, very effective
Really easy to use. Had a canvas backpack to waterproof and the bottle was more than enough. It's important to wet the material first to help spread the spray liquid properly. It smelled a bit afterwards but this went after a couple of weeks. Was quite satisfying when I spilt my drink on the bag and it just rolled off in droplets. Great job and would use again if I need to.

leaves white marks when dry.
this product is easy to apply , you just spray it on to the garment and let it dry. be warned that when you do spray it most of it will run off ,so be prepared to catch it on plastic . when its dry it smells of a faint pva glue smell . i used it on a black jacket (new) as i wanted to add more waterproofing to it . after it had dried on the jacket the next day i noticed white streaks all over where it had run down and dried into white marks . even after i applied it i wiped off the excess , but still it left these white stains. ok not too bad on a white garment but a black / dark coloured? just be aware .other wise a very good product.

Spray on vs ‘hand soak’ ... TX.Direct test
The Problem I had two cycling jackets, both well used, that have lost some of their ability to shed water and were starting to soak it up. One is a Gore gortex shell type and the other a Castelli nanoflex .. Process I washed both in the recommended Nickwax tech washing liquid and then chose to use this spray on Tx with the Gortex and hand soak the nanoflex in the correct diluted amount of the liquid version of Nickwax Tx. It took nearly the whole bottle of spray on to properly soak the Gortex and it was left wet on the garage floor for a while.. then hung up to dry. The nanoflex I soaked in warm water / nickwax mix.. left for 10 mins in the mix then rinsed with cold as directed. The nanoflex had a good soaking in really what becomes a ‘sticky liquid’ .. I noticed after mixing things around by hand my hands were actually sticky and water was beading off them .Result - Gortex / Spay on.. Used the Gortex for a ride in the pouring rain on December 13.. have to say.. it still got soaked and soggy.. it kept the water at bay to some extent. I’ve since read that Gortex actually has a shelf life.. and mine has been washed countless times over years.. I tried soaking it after in liquid Nickwax..but still no good.. I think it’s time for a new jacket. My view is the spray on probably works.. but the garment needs to be in reasonable shape to start with. Result - Nanoflex / soaked in liquid Nickwax Tx. Just so it's clear - this part covers the liquid form of the same product - rather than spray on this is alternate product from Nickwax is diluted at 50ml to 600 ml warm mater and the garment soaked as per my description above. Just returned from a ride in the rain Dec 16th (Why are all my rides on days when it rains ..?) .. The Castelli 'Gabba' nanoflex jacket actually held up after the soaking in the liquid Tx followed by a low heat dry in the tumble dryer. Some visible 'beading' and overall not much penetration through the jacket at all. Verdict I think the spray on is better suited to garments where you might not want to get nickwax on the inside as well as out, Tge Gortex had dried it didn’t actually look or feel much different. I would say spray on good for keeping a repellent finish on Gortex as long as the Gortex isn't totally worn and washed out like mine was. Items which are much the same inside and out like my nanoflax jacket seem to reallly benefit from a good soaking in the liquid form of the same product. On the whole I think the soaking process felt to me as if it is more likely to provide water protection
