Q: Is this tea the same or different than their gold pack with the blue stripe in terms of taste?

And, just to make it all more confusing, I've read that Lady Greay tea was developed for the Scandinavian market, where customers didn't care for the strong bergamot flavor of Earl Grey, and that in addition to reducing the bergamot Twinings also added centauria flowers (bachelor's button). It would be helpful if Twinings could put together a brief buyers guide to show which selections had which characteristics.

Q: Does this have the same citrus/bergamot taste as what used to come in the blue packaging? The gold packaged doesn't taste the same - returned it.

I don't know about the blue box tea, because when I ordered that they sent me the gold box. The gold box (U.S. version) doesn't taste the same to me as the U.K. version in the black box. I like the black box version better. Some reviews have said the old blue box and the new gold box are just different packaging of the U.S. version, but I don't know. The U.S. and U.K. versions of Twinings do taste different to me, and they have slightly different steeping instructions. The versions for sale in the US have strings and tags and are individually wrapped, and the UK versions are not.

If I understand the boxes correctly, the one box has 100 tea bags and the other one has 200 tea bags thus the difference in price.
