I'm not surprised that greedy dentists don't tell us about this product. **Q: How long can you keep the temporary tooth in for?** A: dont eat curry with it in it stains it red .but clean it in steradent tablets i made 3 had themover 6 months now . ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Toothless old crone no more *by M***I on 19 August 2021* My front tooth broke (it has a root filling in, so fortunately not painful), but it made me look like an old fishwife. Due to the pandemic, the dentist couldn’t fit me in to crown it for over a month and I had a couple of interviews coming up - yikes! I found this stuff on good old Amazon and despite the mixed reviews, decided to give it a try.I was a bit apprehensive, but checked out a couple of videos online and it seemed straightforward enough. You drop the beads into hot water and they merge and form a kind of soft putty that you make a tooth out of. The blurb on the pack said that the water should be about 60 degrees, but that didn’t work too well for me so I used it almost boiling - gave the kettle about 30 seconds to go off the boil before pouring out, and that did the trick.So you pour about an inch or so of hot water into a container (I found a glass tumbler worked better than a cup as I could see them in there better). Drop about 8-10 beads in (maybe more if it’s a big tooth); when they go transparent, give them a stir with a spoon and they will start to stick together, then using the spoon, fish the lump of goo out and start squidging it together before pushing into the gap in your teeth. You have a bit of time to mould it before it goes too hard - play about with it and bite down so that it’s not too prominent and once happy with it, you can take it out and put in cold water to harden, then it kind of snaps back in.After that, you’re supposed to put them in tea to darken them a bit (because as we know, only USA news readers have teeth that white (oh and that bloke off Love Island the other year who shacked up with Dani Dyer).The tea thing has been a bit hit and miss for me TBH, I’ve never managed to get the colour right, but you get loads of the little beads in the pack so you can keep trying and see how it goes. Oh and you can also re-mould the tooth you’ve made if it isn’t quite right - just put it back in hot water and it will go soft again.Something else to note is that you are supposed to remove the tooth to eat. This hadn't really been a problem as they mostly felt like I had something in my mouth that needed to be removed when eating, but on my 3rd attempt, I managed to make a tooth that was so comfortable and secure that I left it in when I ate. I was eating a chicken and mushroom pot noodle (gastro special!) and when I’d finished, I noticed that the tooth had gone yellow (I guess they put turmeric in pot noodles!). So there’s a tip - even if it feels OK, probably best to take it out when eating. I haven’t had a problem with discolouration when drinking tea/coffee etc though.The photo I’ve attached shows 3 teeth I’ve made - the smaller, yellow one is the pot noodle one 😎There are quite a lot of negative reviews for this product, but I think it’s worth it and if you don’t succeed the first time, keep trying. People I know have said that if they really pay attention, then it does look different to the other teeth, but only because they are looking for it. It’s definitely not as noticeable as a big gap, and given that most of us are about 2m away from each other lately, probably not really noticeable at all. ### ⭐ I ignored the bad reviews *by T*** on 3 July 2022* I saw the bad reviews and thought that I'd still be able to pull it off with commitment.Nope. When these do go translucent (which is when the instructions says they're ready to mold), they are too hard to mold. You can't get the water hot or cool enough for it to be workable.I stayed up until late to try to master it at the expense of sleep.
