This is a great pastel
Wow, this pastel is great but. I have been wanting to get one for a very long time and found it here on Amazon I just have to get it because I love cooking and it works great for preparing my spices to cook. Using electronic appliances takes the taste away from the spices and herbs.

On use it’s grinding the particles of rock in whatever is grinded
Looking nice but on using the food is having grinds of rock.

Poor quality may be made out of cement
I continue to experience a significant amount of stone particles even after seasoning and repeated use, it indicate a low-quality mortar and pestle made of a less durable stone or cement. Tried reaching out to seller and still waiting for the response. I really wanted a flat shape mortar and pestle and was happy when it arrived. I am frustrated and disappointed at this point. It’s been a week since I received it and still a significant amount of stone coming off! Can’t use it. I do not recommend this.
