Seben Metal Detector Deep Target waterproof search coil high sensitivity and search depth - Indicator with pinpointer or move function

Following a repeated request from my other half for a metal detector, I decided to search the Amazon site for a value for money but quality item. The Seben Deep Target appeared to fill the requirements perfectly, and even came with free delivery. The detector arrived in super fast time, was very well packed and included a printed instruction book, not some annoying disc. I am very pleased with my purchase, and we are looking forward to some serious treasure hunting when better weather allows. We have done a couple of test runs in our back garden, and were impressed with the performance, we were not aware there was so much metal buried there. Unfortunately, nothing of particular value as yet. We are total beginners to treasure hunting, but the Seben deep Target is excellent for beginners, without the need to upgrade when the bug takes a serious hold. I've ordered 2 now. They're good and pick up small hidden pieces that are buried, but after the first use the beeping gets very faint and hard to hear, like the batteries are running out. Sending back again, disappointed.

I ordered the Seben Deep Target Metal Detector and it arrived 4 working days later. An excellent service considering it was free delivery. The device is easy to assemble once you've read the instructions. You'll need a Philips head screw driver. The detector is quite study and looks more expensive than it was. It's very simple to use. You just turn it on and go really. The instructions allow for lots of twiddling with the dials but I just left it on the recommended settings and tried it for the first time today with my 7 year old son. If he can use it, anyone can. We found a 2p coin, a bottle top and an unidentified chunk of metal which he thinks is awesome. Well worth the money and a good hobby for father & son to get into.

Simple to use, great instant feedback from adjustments means you can tailor the sensitivity quickly: the manual gets you up to speed fast and you can set about learning the subtleties of setting the two values. The headphone output is way too loud, though: tried a set of Sennheiser headphones and they'd damage my hearing, and I can't seem to find a volume control, so I tend to use the speaker. My nephew tried it and was utterly enthralled :-)

Not the worst item for the job, but not far off it. You get what you pay for. This is a cheap quality item that might work if you walk directly over a Sherman Tank buried almost a whole 6 inches underground. Go to a specialist, double/triple your budget and go metal detecting with a tool that works properly. The other side off the coin is ( pardon the pun ) if that’s your budget it’s got to be better than nothing.

For the price, one could not wish for a better item. It is extremely light, very well designed, and does its job according to the specifications. The set-up is basically common sense and observation. The English instructions on putting it together could do with a little polish, but if one takes a little care and time the whole thing is a piece of cake, and any reasonably intelligent child over of 10yrs or over would have no trouble in assembling and using this machine.

This is just a toy for a high school kid, nothing more. Testing at a few different depths, it detected the 2 pence copper coin that I had buried in the back garden with loose soil over it with difficulty at 20cm and not beyond. Upon contacting the seller Seben GmbH they responded, "The item is working as you were able to detect coins" and "we can not give a guarantee that you will find gold or silver". So no hope if you want to find your gold wedding ring lost under the bed behind a pile of junk-mail! Despite Amazon intervention Seben GmbH did not refund my return cost £23 (Royal Mail). They do not abide by the British Sale of Goods Act 1979 (Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose). Is there a `MINUS' five star that I could rate it at?!

Bought for the wife who wanted try metal detecting - it's not bad for the price though I wish I'd bought one with discrimination now as this will pick up EVERYTHING! from bottle tops, ring pulls and even minute bits of rust you cannot see - infuriating when you are searching on a big beach. Build quality is good and for a beginner to try it's adequate.

El detector viene presentado en una caja de cartón blanca, que a priori no parece que proteja muy bien pero cuando la abres ves que sus componentes van perfectamente asegurados. El montaje es realmente sencillo e intuitivo, utiliza las típicas pilas de petaca por lo que resultan muy fácil de conseguir. En cuanto a la ergonomía es muy cómodo, ya que tiene almohadillas tanto en la zona por donde se agarra tanto en la zona donde se apoya el antebrazo, que unido a su bajisimo peso, cosa que me sorprendió muchísimo ya que parece muy muy robusto. En cuanto al funcionamiento un paréntesis un asunto que le damos muy poco valor es a las instrucciones, en este caso son fantásticas ya que te explican todo paso a paso perfectamente e incluso te recomiendan unos ajustes primarios para que empieces a probar hasta encontrar los que mejor te convengan en función del terreno. Tiene un rango de sensibilidad muy alto y es lo que mas difícil se puede hacer al principio pero una vez lo ajustes bien resulta muy efectivo. Funciona a través de pitidos y cuanto mas cerca estés del objeto mas rápido pitara, como la mayoría de estos aparatos. Ademas también te muestra mientras señales acústicas como es el estado de las pilas. Todo esto viene perfectamente explicado en las instrucciones que como os digo son maravillosas y en español lógicamente. Por el precio que cuesta me parece muy buena opción para empezar a iniciarse en este hobby, realmente es muy recomendable, es difícilmente superable en relacion calidad precio.

Prodotto arrivato puntualissimo, funziona perfettamente è facile da usare e fa quello che promette. Ho appena iniziato ad usarlo e credo che col tempo acquisterò la sensibilità necessaria per sfruttare al massimo le capacità di questo metal detector: si tratta di uno strumento di precisione ed occorre esperienza per imparare a discriminare bene i segnali ed impostare le soglie di tolleranza/sensibilità ottimali che sono regolabili e forniscono la massima versabilità al metal detector.

Bonjour à tous, si vous avez un détecteur à acheter c'est celui qu'il faut prendre. Mon mari en rêvé, je lui est payé pour son anniversaire. Etant en panne d'ordinateur j'ai demandé si je pouvez l'avoir avant la date indiqué, je l'ai reçue 3 jours après, super.Mon mari l'a essayé ce week-end dans notre jardin, il a trouvé des choses aussi bien en laiton, en fer, même un gros bout de crayon de bois qui contient un alliage. Depuis que nous avons acheté la maison nous retrouvons des douilles et nous avions pas tout trouver, il a trouvé jusqu'à 30-35 cms. Produit génial, je le recommande

Der Artikel macht einen stabilen und gut verarbeiteten Eindruck, ohne Schnick-Schnack. Das haben wir für diesen Preis nicht unbedingt erwartet. Dank der in klarem und guten Deutsch gehaltenen und leicht verständlichen Bedienungsanleitung (welche Wohltat) geht der Zusammenbau leicht vonstatten. Die dort gegebenen Tipps waren sehr hilfreich und haben die Suche erleichtert. Nach einigen Funden von Kronkorken, einer Lüsterklemme und leeren Patronenhülsen entlang der ca. 3 km langen Reitstrecke meiner Frau durch den Wald habe ich dann das aus der Tasche gerutschte Smartphone mithilfe des „Deep Target“ wieder gefunden. Es hatte in der Zwischenzeit viel gestürmt und und so war nicht nur noch mehr Laub von den Bäumen gefallen, sondern es gab tatsächlich so etwas wie Laubverwehungen. Ohne den Metalldetektor wäre das nicht möglich gewesen! Leider hatte es auch extrem viel geregnet und so wird sich zeigen, ob die Wiederbelebungsversuche erfolgreich sein werden – aber zumindest sind die Sim- und die Speicherkarte geborgen. Letztendlich hat die Suche auch Spaß gemacht und wir können uns gut vorstellen, den Detektor mal auf einem Kindergeburtstag im Rahmen einer Schatzsuche mit vorher versteckten „Schätzchen“ einzusetzen. Der „Deep Target“ ist unser erster Metalldetektor. Wir hatten auch vorher noch keine Erfahrung auf diesem Gebiet sammeln können. Aber unseren Tests und der erfolgreichen Suche zufolge können wir die von der Seben GmbH gemachten Angaben bestätigen und sind sehr zufrieden. Das separat angebotene „Super-Set S4“ mit dem Kopfhörer und dem Ladegerät und den 2 * 9V Akkus ist eine sinnvolle Ergänzung, zumal 2 einigermaßen „vernünftige“ 9V-Batterien schon fast die Hälfte des Setpreises ausmachen. Und das Ladegerät läßt sich auch für andere Akkus verwenden: bis zu 4 AA oder AAA lassen sich damit gleichzeitig aufladen. Alles in allem: ein gutes Gerät zu einem fairen Preis. PS: Es war schon überraschend einige im hohen Laub verborgen wachsende Pilze zu finden, die offensichtlich stark mineralisieren. Und wie weit die Impulse eines unter Strom stehenden Weidezauns wahrnehmbar sind...
