Biltong Bites Chilli 250g

This is not the first time I have purchased Biltong and I'm hooked. I have previously had the large pieces, slices, bits and Droewors in a variety of sized packs. They are all very good quality, right side of dry and with a great taste and flavour. The price is compatible with the leading suppliers and market, after all, I am quite a consumer, I'm ashamed to say, with the larger sizes giving you that little extra bit of saving. The only downsize is that they are too good. I mean it. I have just had to limit myself to fewer a month and smaller packaging to limit my insatiable appetite. Diane

This biltong has very hard texture to begin with but it softens and releases bags of flavour the more you chew.the chilli is not strong but in the background,which allows the unique biltong flavours to come thru too.on the odd stick tho you do get a big kick of chilli,which is a nice surprise.once opened you need to have a few sticks then stick it in the fridge and try and forget youve got it for a couple of days.or just eat it all and order some more.which can become an expensive habit.its still in my opinion,the best quality and value biltong or jerky about.

ive tried standard biltong strips before and jerky and yes there nice but after getting these they do not come close at first i have to be honest its like trying to chew on a stick but as you keep chewing the flavour comes out its bold rich and has to be the best tasting chilly flavour to date i was abit cautious when buying these at first due to some comments but im happy i pushed past it and tried it for myself only draw back is the price and i am not saying there necessarily over charging i understand the beef is not cheap i just wish i could get this product for a little cheaper as it is one of them pros and cons thing pro they are amazing and addictive con is there abit steep but all biltong is the same! if you love biltong and jerky please give this a try even if its just the one time im sure you will not be disappointed i told myself i would only buy one pack as a treat but i had to come back for more!

So, where to start?! Love these! I have to say, I have been buying biltong chilli bites in London for over 10 years now and can safely say I have tried them all. Unfortunately for me I discovered that my purveyor of choice (Savanna) had shut their London Bridge store so decided to go online and found these on Amazon. Second purchase later, I can say I have no regrets, these are the best chilli bites you'll get outside Mpumalanga (I would say South Africa but I know someone will be quick to pick up a fight on that... let's save that for another day!). These bites are very chewy - "hard texture" as some of the other reviews say - to begin with but that's where the quality begins to show. As you start to work your mandibles on them, the chilli flavour starts to come through and off course the biltong softens until its one mashed up beefy paradise in your mouth! Also, in my experience the "hardness" is a reliable indicator of quality.. these are dried enough to last a while in your cupboard while retaining quality. I say "last a while" but the truth is your may not be able to! Top quality notch product bringing the genuine taste of Africa to long-starved South Africans in England! *This would have been a 5-star review but guys, you've got to improve your packaging! Just a suggestion broer....

Tis Bilton is okay, I'm unsure if the taste issue I have are due to a high use of worcestershire sauce, or if the beef used isn't the best quality !? I've got to say that I'm rather dissapointed with this purchase as the taste suggests too much worcestrshire sauce and little to no chilli. The chilli bite 'sticks' or 'stukkies' should also be a little more uniformed; some of the ones I got were over 5cm wide in places... I would have thought a little less worcestershire sauce, a little more chilli, an more unformed cuts would give you guys a more reasonable finished product.

I always purchase this brand. They are above and beyond all others I’ve tried. Highly recommend. Flavour is good and they are very tough to chew which I like. Only thing is the price, but again you pay more for quality.

I am extremely disappointed in this purchase. Worst spent £14 ever. I haven't bought anything from the Biltong Company in a few years, I used to love their Biltong. This is so dry and hard, I have actually put in the bin already as I am afraid I am going to need a dentist if I attempt eating it. It's a shame, because the flavour is excellent....

Great, authentic product. A guilt free snack. Popular with all our family, especially my protein loving son who these were a gift for. Much better than the processed, additive loaded packets from the supermarket.

The chilli stokkies are absolutely fantastic, well dried and well spiced. The original is also dried well with close to no fat. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed both.

Echt lecker!!! Da werden Erinnerungen wach. 2010 für 6 Wochen in Heidelberg (SA) gewesen und hab mich fast ausschließlich von Biltong und Bier ernährt. Die Chili Sticks haben genau so geschmeckt!! Vielen Dank und Daumen hoch 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼.
