ORICO Powered Aluminium USB 3.0 Hub - 10-Port Data and BC 1.2 Charging Hub (Silver)

I need to attach to my Flight Simulator PC a number of peripherals, Flight Yoke, Rudder Pedals and various flight instruments to a total of seven inall. I addition I have an external ssd which contains a large number of Scenery Files which are all needed by the Flight Sim. This Hub is an excellent solution. It is independently powered and has an on/off switch which is useful. Visually it looks neat and tidy and while I have read other reviews complaining of the brightness of the blue lights which come on above each port when active, this does not detract from my experience because the Hub is located to one side out of my direct line-of-sight. I have installed it on its side with the port labels/lights uppermost, so the usbs plugs are in the horizontal plane. I have fixed it in place with heavy duty double sided sticky tape.How does it work ? it works faultlessly, the only problem I have is sometimes forgetting to turn it on when it is needed.I have no hesitation in recommending this hub. It is well made and substantial looks the part and is easy on the eye.

I now have 3 of these. I have used multiple hubs over the years and these are the only ones that last. Excellent build quality, aluminium case.

After a lot of research I bought this hub for a specific application in our church. We video record the service, and duplicate it to memory sticks, and this hub performs perfectly!We don't really need the full USB 3 speed, as we write the MP4 in real time, but when we do transfer large files it seems fast enough.It loses one star because you have to press the power button to turn it on and off, I'd rather have it just on all the time, unless unplugged. Even a rocker on/off switch would have been better.It is well built, solid, and sits well on the bench

Well made aluminum case with handy on off switch and blue led's. Good length mains and usb lead.The silver model is a good match with an iMac. Everything I have plugged in has worked well.

My sample was faulty, causing drives to be unmounted randomly.Supplier good, no problem with refund.Seems a well built piece of kit but I'd lost confidence.

This Hub was purchased as I required a hub capable of functioning whilst having other full hubs plugged into it. So far, connected to this hub is: a 7 port hub (with six ports being used by external hard drives) and a 10 port hub (with two ports currently being used). It is early days, as I have only been using the hub for a few days. But, so far so good…Having used the hub for a few weeks now, as other reviews have admonished, the drive does lose connection for some reason and all the drives, in my case, plugged into it (or, presumably, whatever devices, are connected to it) disconnect and cannot be accessed. This is unfortunate, as I was previously impressed with it and this happened to begin precisely one day after the Amazon Return Window. Disappointing. It has not happened regularly so I have not taken any further action. However, if, in the coming days, it does happen again, I will contact the seller for a resolution.The disconnecting I mentioned did no cease. It continued to the extent that another Hub I had connected to this Hub stopped working. Perhaps it was because it was old or perhaps it was due to the constant and random disconnecting of this Hub. Either way… it had to be returned.UPDATE:Upon leaving this review, the seller offered to send me a replacement Hub. An offer which I duly accepted. However, as the seller appeared to be having issues with its courier, resulting in a long delay in my receiving the replacement, coupled with my ever-pressing need for a Hub, I purchased a different Hub in the interim. The replacement Hub has arrived. Nevertheless, as an alternative was sought and is being used, as again, one could not know if, in fact, the replacement would arrive, it will be kept until needed and I may update in due course if need be. Please, do not watch this space!I will conclude by saying that, while the product itself may be somewhat dubious, the customer service of the seller is laudable.

You will have to factor in the extra cost of a 2 pin (Type A) to UK adaptor for the power source. It's absolutely ridiculous selling products in the UK which do not have a standard UK plug. Now I've got to mess around looking for the exact type of adaptor, buy it and wait for that to arrive before I can even start to use this product!
