After isolating the circuit at the main fuse box, I was able to fit the surrounds without disconnecting any cables by simply loosening the screws. The key is to place the surround on at a diamond angle, tilt the switch slightly, get two corners through, then straighten it to ease in the third and fourth corners. The photos included show this clearly and should help others fit them with minimal effort. One important safety note: even after isolating the downstairs circuit, one switch was still live as it was linked to the upstairs circuit, so using a voltage tester before starting is strongly recommended. Overall, good value for a six-pack and a tidy upgrade.
