I couldn’t believe this for the price. I originally wanted the adjustable stool but I went for this as I thought less moving parts, less problems. It’s the right height, very comfortable, seems sturdy and the size of the storage is great being as it’s a sort of duet stool. It was easy to put together and looks wonderful. If it had a brand name on it this would have cost well over a hundred pounds. It has a nice hinge that holds the lid up easily so it’s simple to use. Really recommend.

A very well made and comfortable piano stool, hood under seat storage and attractive to look at. I am extremely happy with it.

Edit: 5 years later and I'm still using this daily!I’ve wanted a seat for my makeup table for ages now but having read so many divided reviews for other products out there I wasn’t convinced by anything. One day I came across this and just loved the style and the fact that it was a bench rather than a tiny little stool. The hinged compartment for storing bits and pieces is just a bonus! The parcel arrived quickly and it took me maybe 10 minutes to put together. The seat storage is already built; all you need to do is attach the legs with the nuts and spanner provided. I really love the look of this, it’s so modern and stylish and it definitely fits in well with my boudoir. The legs are glossy white and feel very sturdy, even my bf has sat on it no problem and he’s 6ft 6 and weighs 120kg. The seat is cushioned and comfy, and the hinge works well for the storage compartment, locking in place so you don’t need to hold it open. Be careful when closing again as the hinge doesn’t seem to unlock, I just give it a nudge with one hand and use the other to close the lid. It is a good size and still fits under my desk if I want to tuck it out of the way. I really think this is a fab, sturdy and very good looking seat, perfect for my intentions and would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for something similar.

Just what I needed. Very sturdy & comfy. Gloss finish padded leather look seat. What you can see is finished lovely & one of the reasons I kept it. However the underneath finish is dreadful and not clean & neat at all. I figured you can see that anyway but five stars would have been rated otherwise

Upon opening the package I was in awe of the stool. The glossy finish of the wood is a lovely touch. The faux leather Is great quality and built to last. I am absolutely in love with my chair and so pleased I bought it. Money well spent. My only concern was the little plastic "feet" dont stay in but easily remedied by a little bit of wood glue.Packaging/deliveryCame packaged in a cardboard box protected well and sealed nicely.Delivery was fast and efficient.QualityQuality is above average, some of the paint has bubbled but far from noticeable.Completely surprised to find the chair has hidden storage.Metal hinges are sturdy, bracket to keep the lid open is strong. Nice velvet interior and wood lining in the hidden compartment.

Solid and Stable but uncomfortable - good storage with easy to open lid. Light enough to move around easily. Exceptionally easy to assemble. Just very disappointed that it is so uncomfortable for an adult to sit on for too long.
