**Q: Can you use braid with this rod**
A: Hi Davy, yes I use braid with this rod and have had no problem with it, I've caught plenty of cod and loads of kelp!! So it's had plenty of heavy use and it's been great, I'd highly recommend this rod

**Q: Is this rod made for spinning reels or multiplier ? Where's backbone?**
A: This rod is for a multiplier reel.

**Q: What is the thickness/diameter of the end hand grip?**
A: Sorry, I returned it not the quality you would expect from Abu Garcia and like most products these days made in China!

**Q: Can you use this rod on a pond or lake**
A: Hello,
        It is a boat rod and therefore quite stiff but,if in a boat on a pond or lake,I do not see why not.By its nature it is best used with the line going straight down,or at a steep angle.I hopet this is of some use to you.It should also be used with a multiplier-type reel for best results.
