I have just been using these to create Christmas gifts. They are a good size and well made. I washed the bags at 60 degrees, tumble dried them and ironed them before use and am very pleased with the result. Calico needs to be pre-washed for shrinkage and because it can be coated with some sort of preservative which doesn't smell good. There are several dark bits in the calico, which is a natural product so should be expected. I've already machine sewed several designs on the bags and it went well, very pleased.

I bought these when the carrier bag charge came into effect. They come plain. I painted onto mine with acrylic paints to personalise them. Acrylic will sink in and not wash out once dried. Just remember if you do the same, place a piece of paper inside the bag as if you don't, the paint will sink through and the front and back will stick together. They fold up neatly and take up minimal room. They aren't massive but, with 10 of them in the pack, you don;t need them to be. The biggest advantage for me is that the handles are long enough to allow you to put them over your shoulder to carry. Bonus.

4 of the 10 bags I have received are unusable the straps are sewed on the wrong way round so it is twisted , 4 out of the 10 bags are like this !!!!! They also smelt really bad an damp when arrived

I run an adult craft group for my local WI. I ordered 30 of these bags for my session last night and we painted them with fabric paints. They looked fantastic! Everyone was really pleased with them. I ironed them all before the class so they looked their best. The bags are made from one long piece of fabric then folded in half before sewing. This means the base of the bags is the fold line rather than a stitched case. This makes them much stronger then having two pieces joined. So that’s great. Personally, I’m going to over-stitch the sides to reinforce them so that I can use them to carry heavy it. I think that they are fantastic value for money. I paid just over 80p each. The Fabric alone is with that!!!! The bags are a great size too. Quite a big tote bag.

Good bags overall for the price, quite thin and are see through, handles would not hold too much weight

The bags are good quality but too small.I had to return it.It was not what I was looking for. Its 10 individual bags in the packet.I thought it was one bag the size of 10 medium bags .But they are good quality ,though not what I wanted .

These bags arrived smelling like wet mildew. They've clearly been sitting around somewhere for a very long time. I had to open all of the windows in my house to get the smell out. I would have returned them, but I didn't want to have them hanging around long enough to get them boxed up to ship back.
