Couldn't get it to connect initially, but soon worked out that the APN settings were automatically populated with Vodafone settings (which is the correct network) but the SIM card was from Talkmobile so I had to find those APN settings on t'internet and enter them manually and set as default, and then bingo! I used a USB cable from my laptop to the Huawei E5785 router to do the initial setup ( change SSID and password etc) then connected through Wifi from then on. I would recommend installing the Huawei AI app (I put it on my android phone) and connecting to the router through it as you can control and change all the settings from that. Download speeds are obviously dependent on the signal but don't expect 300Mbps. More along the lines of standard non-fibre broadband for me, but so far so good.
