Very good tool for edging good quality and good buy

Another great product from spear & Jackson. Really strong and easy to use. Makes light work of edging the lawn. The handle length is just right. Not too long so you can get a precision edge

Reasonably well made except for the blade spigot which is very thin. However, the tool is fine as long as you don’t put too much backwards pressure by pulling back when pushed into the lawn as I don’t think is would take much to bend it. As long as you are careful it should last.

Too wet outside to use it but looks good and not too heavy for me.

Bought one of these some time ago but have hardly used it. Unfortunately this week l decided to edge a flowerbed and after a few digs the shaft broke at the base. It was interesting to see how the shaft was fitted with a metal pin and a screw, very bad design as it was fixed at the weakest part, the drilling weakening it even more. This tool is probably ideal for little old ladies but not fit for purpose for normal use!

Didnt want to pay a fortune for something not used every day and was really pleasantly surprised by how sturdy and well made this garden tool was.Would definitely recommend and buy again

Easy to use - not much of a lip on top edge but the blade is sharp and it's helped us create a circular lawn with a clean edge

Not the greatest quality, and certainly not what I expected from a respected brand. The neck is far too thin and is bent after the first use. Not sure why it comes with a hood, either. Those are usually to protect your fingers from the blade, but this thing is so blunt, you could ride to London bare-arse on it (as my grandma likes to say). It did the job, but when the head snaps off - which won't be long - I'll spend a bit more on its replacement.
