FL wireless 2-in-1 Digital Thermometer

Read up on lots of different temperature readers and not many were saying very accurate. Bought a new fluval 240 tank so thought let's try fluval! Fitted the sensor at the bottom on the opposite side to the heater as I guess I need the temp at the bottom of the tank for a true reading. The new tank had been heating up for a day so I thought I'd check the water with a cooking probe as I knew that was accurate. It read 24.4°. I looked around at the Fluval thermometer and it read.... 24.4°! So yes... very happy with this purchase! Looks good, nice and compact. Only negative is that you can't read the lcd from side on, only face on. But no issue.

Look ok but not very accurate

I have a tropical fish tank and an axolotl tank in the same room. I tested the water temperature of both tanks with a standard thermometer alongside the Fluval one and the water temperature was accurate on both. There was roughly a 5-8 degree difference between water temperature in the tanks. However, there was also a 5-8 degree difference in the room temperature of both tanks (dispite the tanks being in the same room, no more than a few feet apart). So the water temperature is accurate but don't rely on the room temperature. It appears to be influenced by the temperature of the tank it's attached too. So if you have a heater in your tank chances are the room temperature will be inaccurate. Other than that minor issue it's a good product and I will be using them for some time to come!

This thermometer works fine, I have checked the temperature against the one that is inside my tank and they are the same, it now saves me removing the glass internal one for cleaning and then trying to get the suction cup to stick again etc... Very easy to attach via two strips of Velcro and works as soon as the battery is inserted, battery is also included. It can show either deg C or deg F. There are two large easy to read displays, The top display shows tank temp and the lower display shows room temp which helps during hot and cold seasons if you have tanks in a garage etc. I have seen these in stores for £22.99 so are a good price at £13

Neat system - dual temperature seems a bit pointless as the unit is attached to the glass of the tank on the outside - effectively you are trying to take a room temperature reading right next to a tank that is radiating heat. Not surprisingly, the two readings are very close. I used a thermopen very accurate and fast cooks thermometer to compare. Water reading inside the tank is about .6C higher than the fluval thermometer reading; so it's reasonably close.

Standard delivery fee and came the next working today and well packaged so 5 stars for ordering process. Have been looking for compact easy to read LCD thermometer for my marine tank sump. It may looks big looking at the picture on the Amazon website, but the unit is only 4 cm wide and 8 cm high. What's really good about this Fluval 2-in-1 Thermometer there is no unsightly wires or probes hanging in the tank!. One small down side, It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to get a stable temperature reading. Information on the packaging stated accurately is within 1C / 2F. I found the accurately is more like 0.3 C to 0.7 F so that a big plus. I would buy this Fluval 2-in-1 Thermometer for other new fish tanks projects in the future.

Arrived today, and as I happened to have a suitable battery (lr44), it didnt come with one, fitted it as per instructions. It measures 23.5 degrees in tank (fluval heater reads 25 degrees), and 22.5 room temperature which I know to be 4 degrees warmer than it actually is, so pretty much a waste of time and money.

Tried many of the cheepy smal ones over the years, thus is first class product and very accurate/reliable.

Great unit , very accurate and worth the money !! Spend a little more so you no your getting the proper temp readings for your aquarium

Excellent thermomètre d'aquarium Fluval toujours parfait

Ich bin sozusagen aquaristikfirm !!! Demzufolge auch lanjährigste Erfahrungen mit diversen Thermometern , digital und analog. Alle Digitalen vorher waren letzendlich nicht zu gebrauchen, weil sie a. nicht genauer gemessen haben als die Analogen, b. häufig schlecht ablesbar und installierbar waren. Manche hatten ein technisches Knowhow, welches mich schlicht überfordert hat !!!( bin weiblich , nicht zur Teeniegeneration gehörend ). Dieses Fluval Digitalthermometer ist einfach gut. Kinderleicht anzukleben (Scheibe außen ), hält dort bombenfest , läßt sich aber zur Not wieder abmachen. ( eins habe ich sogar vom alten an ein neues Becken geklebt , auch das kein Problem.) Ich verstehe manche Rezensionen nicht, die Thermometer kleben spitzenmäßig, vorausgesetzt , man versuchts nicht an einer versifften Scheibe. Die Temperaturmessung ist wirklich genau genug ( 0,2 -0,3 Differenz ), gut ablesbar . Die Außentemperatur weicht vom Realwert ab, ist mir nicht wichtig . Ich hab inzwischen 3 von diesen Fluvalthermometern . Die Batterien halten ewig , in zig Monaten mußte ich noch keine wechseln. Von mir Kaufempfehlung.
