Best tasting decaf coffee
I can’t have caffeine and so I search for decaf. It’s very hard to find a decaf that actually tastes like coffee. This coffee is fantastic. Delicious. I drink my coffee black and I love this coffee.

Great value and makes a deliciously rich, flavorful cold brewed coffee!
French Roast decaf is always our family's top choice for cold-brewed coffee, used both by itself and in half-caf blends with lighter, flavored coffees. Unfortunately, after relocating to another state, we couldn't find whole-bean decaf French Roast coffee beans anywhere. So, I turned to Amazon! After reading reviews, and comparing prices across brands, I decided to take a chance on this one. San Francisco Bay Coffee did not disappoint! The beans are fresh and dark, with rich oils clearly present. I ground up our first batch of beans a couple of weeks ago and began making cold-brew coffee. These beans produce a rich, dark, coffee that does wonderfully in cold-brewing, as there is no detectable acidity in the coffee afterwards. The flavor is delicious - whole-bodied, smooth and semi-sweet. I couldn't be happier. This decaf French Roast has been great alone, but also when used as a base for our half-caf blends. The price of this coffee on Amazon is also a great value, which we really appreciate. This will be our go-to decaffeinated French Roast going forward. Definitely recommended!

Pretty good coffee
This is good coffee, I have been getting this for a while now. In November my batch looked dull, but it wasn't bad. This last batch the beans were shinny and had a great aroma. I guess you just take a chance when buying this. I was reading all the bad reviews on here. I watched a video from this company and the owner seemed really concerned about quality. He didn't strike me as one who would send out bad coffee. I've never had any bitter or unfavorable yet, every bag I get seems fine. I like the price seems fair since coffee these days is expensive.

Best quality decaf for the money.
So far, decent value for the money, tastes good, uses the Swiss water method for decaffeination. Quality product. Buy preground if you don't have quality coffee grinder.

No depth of flavor
This coffee is just okay in terms of flavor. I would have given 2 stars except for the fact that it is Swiss water decaffeinated which is a plus. No notes of flavor. For a dark roast, it should be more robust.

Yes, Decaf Lovers CAN be Fussy, Coffee Snobs!
Tell any coffee lover that you drink ONLY decaf and stand back to hear the Rodney Dangerfield-esque one liners pour in: "Why bother?". Pa-dum-dum. We like our coffee black, robust, no sugar, and strong enough to stand a spoon in. So strong that we can only make an 8 cup pot in a 10 cup coffee maker....otherwise the grounds overflow. We love coffee. We crave coffee. I *used* to drink caffeinated coffee with no issues but abstinence during pregnancy and breast-feeding sensitized me to caffeine, We also like affordable coffee. No gourmet, big-buck coffees would do when raising 5 kids. We live in New England. We were drinking Costco's house brand (Kirkland) which is roasted by Starbucks. We loved it. We couldn't find an affordable, local alternative that we liked as well. Then all but one New England Costco discontinued it and we found ourselves driving 2 hours (one way!) to buy it and stock up. We drink about a pound a week. We made the trek 4-5 times a year. Yes, we were willing to work for our coffee, no, we didn't want Folgers, yes, we tried every locally roasted alternative, but still we hungered....for better, cheaper coffee and an easier approach. During a CA visit, we visited a BIG Costco hoping to find the elusive Kirkland decaf and, yes, travel 3000 miles with it in our "bags fly free" Southwest luggage. We were crestfallen to discover even that behemoth of a Costco didn't carry our decaf....UNTIL....we spied this French Roast Decaf! French Roast? Our very favorite roast of all! Could it be???? We bought it, and a half-caf French Roast for our son. We took both on the 3000 mile trek home. We fell in love. This was coffee at it's finest. Now, truth be told, we'd always had a hearty, smug, laugh at anyone who ordered groceries on Amazon. How silly to mail order groceries! We're now eating crow. Humble Pie. Whatever. This coffee is the best we've ever had. The fact that it is affordable and can be had without driving for 4 hours is gravy. We've joined the legions of those who buy food items on Amazon. But pardon our eye roll. Not an eye roll of incredulity about ordering groceries on Amazon. An eye roll of coffee nirvana at a lower cost...both dollar and time/expense...than any other solution we'd found. Decaf French Roast. Delivered to our door on our schedule. <silent scream of joy>
