I was advised to give my Border Terrier kelp as he gained quite a bit of weight after he had the snip. Kelp contains iodine which helps regulate the thyroid so preventing the weight gain. Been using this for a month now and have definatly noticed a difference and his weight has started to come down.A nice fine powder that mixes easily with my dogs food and he doesn't seem to mind the taste. Amazon offers the best price I could find on line as they don't charge p&p. Great service as always from Amazon

I use this as a supplement for my 5 yr old rescued Lurcher who has been on a raw diet for the last 3 weeks. It does have quite a strong smell and I think this put him off a little at first (I started with 1/4 tsp and gradually increased), but then he was also having the new transition of a new home and raw diet, 3 weeks later and I put 1tsp with his food and he eats it happily :) I combine with Alfalfa powder 1tsp/each for 22kilo dog!

Essential if you home cook or raw feed your dogs. Contains many nutrients they need. Have already seen their coats get shinier and thicker as a result. Used to buy the smaller size but purchased the 500g size as better value for money.

Have been using this for over 20 years. Usually buy direct from Dorwest at dog shows but ran out and, as usual, Amazon came to the rescue. Excellent price and very quick service. So easy to administer mixed into food and I really believe a great benefit to the dogs. Miracle coat improvers come and go but this has been a good product for a very long time. Recommended.

this kelp powder has made a absolutely huge difference to the softness and health of the coat on our old mastiff, we would highly recommend, plus he loves the sea flavours!

I read an article about kelp powder so after research plumped for this product i mix it with his Weatabix in the morning unfortunately with dog products it is hard to tell if is doing them good but will keep using it he has a very shiny coat so be the Kelp is good for him

well bought this product to help my greyhound recover some of her lost hair, cant really say if it is working or not, it says to give one teaspoon per 10kilos of weight, which is two and half for my bitch, however the powder is so fine it looks like two shovel fulls on her food, she hates it, and is therefore not eating her food, just picking at it, so if I bought this again I would want it in a different guise, capsules or oil, so whilst it may well work given time, I would Not recommend this product
