Effective preventative against fungal infections
If you are a regular swimmer, one of the big problems is in avoiding picking up foot infections at the pool. This Scholl spray is an effective preventative, but less good as a cure for an existing infection. Also, being a spray can, it is not so environmentally friendly as a cream or powder. The advantage of a spray over a cream is that it tends to penetrate better in the awkward places around the toenails and it is a lot quicker. It is also useful as an occasional mass-disinfectant inside footwear such as shoes and boots to prevent re-infection at a later date from hibernating fungal spores. I have found that drying the feet properly (I use a freshly laundered micro-fibre towel after each swim) and then spraying the feet or applying a cream and then applying a foot powder in the socks to finish the drying process combine to be an effective preventative. This also helps to prevent a fungus being brought home to infect the family shower etc. However once an athlete's foot fungal infection has taken hold and burrowed under the skin then the spray on its own is inadequate, and to effect a cure it needs a more powerful anti-fungal agent, such as Canesten Bifonazole cream or Lamisil cream . Be aware there might still be some samples on sale where the hole in the spray nozzle is way off centre, causing more to spray elsewhere and onto ones fingers than the affected area. These require fitting a proven old jet as a substitute on the faulty new can. Recent ones were OK and the jet can be aimed properly.

Best non powdery spray
Best spray if you prefer non powdery one like me, also has long expiry date which is perfect for occasional use for prevention

Very slow to show results
I've found that wearing Uggs during winter seems to trigger athletes foot, never had it prior to this. I purchased this a cream based product and powder spray, found that neither were particularly efficient at healing the skin. However I would say this liquid spray is probably the most convenient of the three - powder gets everywhere, whether you go to bed with it on or wear socks/shoes with it on. This one is clear and similar to a deodorant or sun cream spray. Once it's dry, you aren't aware it's there. Took a little longer than I'd like to resolve the issue but eventually did the job - did need a 2nd bottle though.
