Review: I originally bought one, it worked so well I bought another. - I originally bought one, it worked so well I bought another. The first one has been working well for a month, it is sturdy, well made and I don't foresee any problems. It is very easy to fit - the instructions have few words, which is good as the pictures are so easy to follow. There are red pressure indicators on the gate and when you have tightened the gate enough these are pushed in so you cannot see them. This results in a gate that is securely held, but hasn't damaged the walls. The sizing is very flexible due to cheap extender packs. Measure your gap before you buy, then buy what you need. I use one gate with one bar from this extender (here: BabyDan Extend-a-Gate 13 cm Extension Kit (White) ) and another with two bars. Both are sturdy and my daughter regularly shakes the rails, telling us she wants to get through. The pictures show it installed. I would reverse it, if I were doing it again, so that the button is away from the side your child is on. Also, note the bar at the bottom - you won't find a gate without it that doesn't need the walls drilling. I don't think it is a trip hazard as you are always aware you are going through the gate, but as you can see, it is not a problem here as it is around the corner from the top of the stairs. My other one is at the bottom of some other stairs. The other thing we considered was whether a self closing gate was better - we decided against this. I haven't found it to be a problem at all, this way it is more convenient that you can leave it open or closed. Opening is easy with one hand - push the button, lift the handle, lift the whole gate and swing. I really don't think I could have made a better buy.

**Q: is it ok for stairs**
A: Yes it is, that's where mine is.  It is totally secure just like any other safety gate just a lot quicker and easier to fit without damaging the walls.

**Q: Would this attach well against a glass staircase side?**
A: I am sure about the glass staircase . I would not use it on it if it was me . Have mine at the bottom and top of stairs and it fit perfect . Secure and safe for my two years old boy. He tried to lift it up bug in vain.... Now his next move is to use on of his bucket and try to climb over...but still no success .

**Q: Does this gate open quietly**
A: Yes, I'm a foster carer and over the years have had several different baby gates,  this one is my favourite,  you do have to remember to lift it as you open, but it is quiet

**Q: What is the height of the gate?**
A: I don't have the gate anymore - my youngest grandchild is 6.  It was high enough to stop a toddler climbing over - probably not as much as a meter.

This is a great product. I struggled looking at the written instructions but having followed the video it was easy and easy to add an extender. I am impressed with the pressure pads and although I bought wall protectors I haven’t used them. It is sturdy even for my 6 month old puppy and works well at keeping him out of the kitchen. The black looks good in the kitchen / diner.
