Great Map - Shows Detail - Large, Will Need To Fold For Use
Great map! We are planning to rent a car in Caen and use a VRBO in Grandcamp-Maisy as a base from which to explore upper Normandy. This map’s scale where 1 cm = 2 km gives the detail we need. Even the small towns – such as Chef-du-Pont and Prétot-Ste-Suzanne – where my uncle fought with the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment after jumping on D-Day. [We plan to re-trace the Regiment’s route.]Now – It’s BIG. 47½ inches by 39¼ inches. So, to use it in a car you will need to pre-fold the map to a manageable size that shows the area where you plan to drive. The map is two-sided with eastern Normandy on one side and western Normandy on the other. There’s good overlap of the two maps – the eastern map goes as far west as Le Havre and the western map goes as far east as Rouen. There are small maps showing details of Rouen and Caen, but you’d probably need actual city maps if these are places of interest to you. There’s an index of cities locating each within a grid system and a legend explaining the road markings and other symbols in English, French, German, and what Google tells me is Italian.Looking forward to using this map both for pre-trip planning and on the ground driving in a rental car.

Best maps ever for detailing out itineraries
These Michelin maps are the best if you are going to actually be biking or driving in France! Especially if you want to know which roads are main/secondary/scenic.

Everything you need to know...
Wonderful map not sure that all the roads are up-to-date with numbering - but there is no other available.

Too big for use in the car.
Still good for overall planning and if you fold it up - a lot - for day trips. Lots of detail.

France map
Map is large but details are too small to read. It's basically useless
