Lonely Planet Bali & Lombok (Travel Guide)

I love lonely planet guides and this one helped me to plan my trip around Bali, Lombok and the gilis for a month. Such good easy to read information in it.

Excellent book that helped us Navigate Bali and seek out the real highlights.

Packed full on information on where to go, what to do, what to eat etc. I love that it includes lots of arts and cultural things to do like watching traditional dances and lists the 5 must eat Balinese foods etc. Also great ‘survival guide’ tips about the customs and need to know information. However, there’s not many pictures, the majority of the book is just black and white writing which can be a little boring to read. I prefer travel books to have lots of pictures to inspire me to go to the different places!

I find the book very useful to travel in Bali. However I found few mistakes in the maps and even wrote to Lonely Planet!

Bought this book before our trip to Bali looking for information on the local area of our stay and places to visit. This book contains a lot of information but none of it relevant. It was missing so much information on the area we stayed hardly listed any of the restaurants. Tripadivsor online was much more helpful. I would buy this brand again.

We bought three travel guides for our trip to Bali. This one lacks the nice photos and maps and history the other books offered but it was our most useful resource when traveling. We found excursions, hikes, restaurants, cooking classes all through this book and highly recommend it as a guide for planning all the little details of your travel activities.

今年の夏の家族旅行でロンボク＆ギリトラワンガンに行きました。 バリとロンボクに特化しているため、情報量も多く無事に旅ができました。 マイナス１点は、Gili Islands行のボートが出るBangsal harbour（ロンボクの港）からのボートの乗り方、注意点を詳しく書いてほしかった。 Bangsal Harbour でチケット売り場を探していると「パブリックボートは廃止になった」と声をかけてくる輩が何人かいました。結局地元の人がアテにならないため、欧米人ツーリストにチケット売り場を教えてもらいました。
