A 29'er is just a 700 rim with the 28 cm wide tire option. The question that said it would not work seemed out of context. They were commenting from the standpoint that they had a 27.5 tire and rim and that the 27.5 tire would not fit on a 700 rim. Which would be true, but who would try, a 27.5 tire would be to big for a 700 rim. Read Sheldon Brown to understand rim sizes. You just need to understand rim sizes to understand a 700 tire on a 700 rim, it works. **Q: Will this fit a 29 X 1.95?
