Bought for my 6 year old daughter as she loves to write stories, and I must say its the best few quid I've spent in a long time! It's a lovely hard back book, with loads to do! It has hints and tips on every page! There are pages for story writing where it starts if the beginning, middle and end, and has lots of ideas down the side on what the child could write about. It has comic strips for the child to fill in, it's has pages for a school diary, and pages with pictures where it asks the child to think about what is happening and write their ideas down.Absolute bargain price!

My son has an amazing imagination and I’ve always said he should write his stories and ideas down. Getting him to do that at such a young age is a bit of a challenge, this book takes care of that! From start to finish it includes everything, teaches how to write your story and gives plenty of tips and hints for things to add. I can’t wait to see my sons ideas brought to life. Lovely little present.

This book is wonderful and will allow your child to use their imagination, writing skills, drawing skills and phonics. Whether your child has just begun to write stories or has been writing for a few years this book will capture their work and allow you to have a keepsake for years to come.I bought it for my grand daughter who is forever writing. When I saw this book I was impressed BUT I did worry as I was unable to look inside. I find I purchase more books from Amazon when I can view them briefly. The cover is lovely, but the inside is designed to bring your child's imagination to life. The pages are lined, with an area so they can illustrate their work. There are plenty of pages to use and your child could write one long story or many small stories. IT iS WORTHWHILE, thanks

This is a brilliant activity book perfect for children, at the beginning of the book there is - Getting Started - With lists of Character and Setting suggestions, and Possible Story Starters. Then you have the start of 16 story themes, there are a variety mix, which is prefect, from School Journal, Time Travel, Animal Adventure, Whodunit, Stage School every topic has Questions to consider, word to use and some have points to consider. The last bit of the book is Story Writing Toolkit - Giving your Stories great titles, exciting writing, experimenting with sentences....It combines everything perfectly for children aged 8 plus and in terms of content the explanations are written in a very child friendly way. I love the colourful borders. I am delighted with this book, it is defiantly worth buying, apart from keeping them busy writing (not bored in holidays), and it is a wonderful toolkit book, adding to there writing skills. I defiantly have seen improvement in my childs writing stories skills, I'm so glad I bought it!

I like this book it's very helpful for children writing their own stories. The only issue I have is that the writing is quite small. It explains how to write a story and helps them to keep a dairy for their ideas. Bought for a 7yr old who likes to write stories.
