Smell very nice but obviously don't last long.

I bought these candles to use in the garden over the summer. Anyone who has been to Scotland over the summer will know only too well the impact of the dreaded Scottish midge. These citronella candles are surprisingly effect at repelling the wee beasties and really nice to light in the garden when relaxing with a drink or whilst having a BBQ. I would advise trying to use them the same summer when they are purchased. I left some over the winter and even though they were well wrapped in protective packaging I found that the scent was barely noticeable by the following year which was a bit of a disappointment. As I say, if used quickly they are very useful, and smell delightful. They are also very handy for camping when there is little wind, as the citronella smell can linger all evening and keeps the bugs away.

Excellent quality candles. Was burning them all through the summer and they did keep all the bugs and wasps and flies away. I went through loads of them as I had them burning day and night. Highly recommend and will continue to purchase!

Great candles for the price, they burn for quite a long time and smell nice too, i use them to keep away insects and they seem to do the trick! very good

I’ve seen citronella products for years, for some reason I assumed I’d hate the smell as my sense of smell is very acute. Last year we got bit worse than ever before. We were like all you can eat buffets for mozzies. It got so bad, once the light started to dwindle we’d make a sharp exit indoors, which subtracted from our summertime enjoyment. It can only be Likened to children going to bed way too early! This year we decided to bite the bullet and give them a go, to see if they really do work. I can confirm that they do work. We were able to sit outside until we had had enough. We noticed it doesn’t only keep the mosquitos away, it actually kept nearly all flying insects away. So, we decided to put one on in the kitchen to keep flies out. Hoping it would work, no matter how clean you keep the home, flies still somehow decide they’d like to come in when doors are open. We try to shoo them out before whipping out insect spray, but there are always pesky ones that refuse to leave, leaving no option but to spray them with the killer spray. We found we really like the citronella smell, so now we put one on in every room, not only do they reduce the number of flying insects immensely, they smell incredible too! It’s a win win 🏆 We intend to use these in the summerhouse also, the only thing I’m wondering, is, would it be ok to put one in my greenhouse? I have mesh on the windows to prevent insects getting in and laying eggs on plants. At times, doors have to be opened on really hot days, would one of these in the greenhouse be ok with plants 🤷🏻‍♂️It would be a game changer.

will not last 4 hours - tealights last 4 hours, these are 4x smaller each so max 1 hour if that. overall not worth it.

The candles came in time but the wick was melted into the wax of half the candles.
