The large, non-stick cooking surface of this electric pancake maker means it is much easier to cook your crepes and pancake than with a traditional frying pan. There’s no need to tip the pan through all angles to try can get the cooking surface covered. Furthermore, the large cooking space means you can create even pancakes and crepes without the batter pooling at the edges of the pan causing edges of the raw mix whilst the middle has already cooked. Review: Used more often than I thought! - Not often do I write reviews for products, but this product has exceeded my expectations, I had expected it to be messy and difficult to use , and for it eventually to end up in a cupboard beside the yogurt maker and the other novelty items, only to come out once or twice a year....How wrong can you be , it now sits out in the Kitchen and has become a favourite of all the family used on average once a week. Easy to use? ..well I had expected a few disasters I can honestly say its never failed , yes I have got better after a few weeks of use , but even at the start everyone was impressed. We use it for savoury gluten free Crepes and its amazing how far 2 eggs and some flour can go , feed the family for pennies. As others have said its easy to clean , I sue it on some kitchen roll which makes cleaning up really easy. Its also a bit of fun to watch your food getting made this way. Only criticism is that the tools particularly the spreader is low quality and could be better. However that saying it still gets 5 stars as a great addition to out family kitchen.

**Q: What's the material of the plate**
A: Teflon coated alloy.   Or could be aluminium

**Q: Can you make American ones on it**
A: American What?  If you are asking if you can make American "crepes" then no you can't as "crepe" is French and not American.  If you mean "pancakes" then no again as traditioonal "pancake" is English and not American.  If you mean those so called American pancakes, whish are a thick and sickly batter then yes you can.  This machine will cook anything from crepes and pancakes through to injera and pitta bread amongst many other doughs and batters.

**Q: I am looking for a crepe maker for my food shop and was wondering if this crepe maker can be used as a commercial machine.**
A: The machine has clearly been made for domestic use. I think the instructions say that it has a limited working time before it needs a rest. It works well at that level, but I doubt it would last very long in a heavy duty environment and less so if you keep it running for long periods. For a retail outlet the cost isn't excessive, so you could take a chance on it and see how it goes! Even if it only lasts for a while, you should recoup the cost and test the market before considering buying a commercial version.

Not often do I write reviews for products, but this product has exceeded my expectations, I had expected it to be messy and difficult to use , and for it eventually to end up in a cupboard beside the yogurt maker and the other novelty items, only to come out once or twice a year....How wrong can you be , it now sits out in the Kitchen and has become a favourite of all the family used on average once a week.
