I actually bought these as gifts this year. Regular cheese cutters on able to cut the cheese all the way through on board evenly. This one works perfect.

It is very very hard to slice cheese. it has too much movement in the slicer part. The wire seems to have stretched just from one slice of cheese

I received the item within 2 days of ordering it, that part was great. However, once I opened the box, it was a whole different story. The cheese slicer looked as though someone had tried th clean it but was unsuccessful. Well, that’s okay. I first cleaned it myself but I could still see the cleaning swipe from the previous owner. I then tried to use it but the slicer was very loose and didn’t cut straight through the cheese. It’s then that I looked underneath the block and noticed that the slicer was “held” with two screws that didn’t even reach the slicer are, making the slicer crooked and flimsy.

i used this once and when i washed it off the numbers washed off.

Perfect size for the average block of cheeses
