Recently I have been enduring a second bout of 'rotator cuff' pain or something very similar. Initially I reached for some pretty strong pain killers but they just didn't seem to work that well and I was concerned about using pain killers potentially for quite a long time. The information about this condition seemed to be saying that warmth or cold treatment could help ... so without much optimism I bought some Deep Heat patches. Well ... all I can say is that for me ... and I emphasise for me ... the patches really work. Even with the top of the front shoulder joint not being the easiest place to stick a patch onto ... I managed OK and varied the position a bit with each new patch. At night I took the recommendations and put the patch onto the shoulder of my pyjama top. Whether directly on the skin or on a lightweight garment ... I have found that these patches really do work. Importantly these patches do not get 'hot' ... just a nice degree of warmth and as it can be put exactly on the point where the pain is worst it really is surprisingly comforting and it does reduce pain. The patch takes a few minutes to warm up after the backing is removed ... but you can stick it on immediately. The warmth lasted all night and well into the next day. In the early stages when the pain was 'dire' I put a light cardigan over my top and that helped conserve the warmth. I have been using the patches for a good 2 weeks and am at the stage where I have generally pretty good of my arm back altho I am being very careful in what I do. I am stocked up with Deep Heat Pain Relief Patches just in case ... and I highly recommend them as a drug free and very effective pain relief. I hope this feedback may help others coping with shoulder injuries ... do give these patches a try they are surprisingly effective.

Worked well, heated well but a bit bulky so found they needed to be supported by clothes to stay stuck.

Excellent for the relief of muscular aches and pains. They have good adhesion and heat up almost immediately and retain the heat for many hours as described on the box. NOT for sleeping overnight, but good for daytime relief. Prime delivery.

I bought the Deep Heat Pain Relief Heat Patches (pack of 4) for £4.50, which felt fairly reasonable, especially with Amazon Prime delivery and the option of free returns within 30 days if needed. They’re easy to use and designed for muscular aches, joint stiffness and general pains. I kept them stored in a cool, dry place as advised. They heat up nicely and give a steady warming feeling, which is quite comforting. Nothing fancy, just a simple product that does what it says. They’re handy to have around when you get sore muscles.

My son said they didn't work. I had a sacroilliac issue and decided to try these. It's not what I expected, I just assumed they would be menthol-like deep heat. The patch is warm, so it keeps the sore area slightly warm all day and it did relieve some of the ache, but you might still need to supplement with pain relief. If you are using this for a pinched nerve, don't bother, pinched nerves need the signal to be targeted and dulled, so this is good for a muscular ache but not pinched nerve. Would I buy this again? Probably not, I will just use the smelly Deep Heat stuff. But I've had the patch on for the entire day and it wasn't until I removed it to shower that I could really feel how warm the patch actually was. It was useful, just not for me.

Absolute waste of money, doesn't stick properly then to make matters worse it's a suttle warmth which you can barely feel. I suffer from pain and this has zero affect on my joints. I use deep heat cream which is amazing but buying this was meant to be lasting. I was expecting some impact but it isn't for any moderate to heavy painful areas. Sensitive light sprains maybe but that's the limit.

Although they do not stick as well where I put them, at the base of my skull were the spine joins, think it is because of the curvature. But they do actually work, I just have to keep pressing it down every now and again. The heat keeps well and as I have had my osteoarthritis spondalitis for over 40 years, they do well compared to all the different creams I have used, but I did find that the Deep Heat cream actually worked the best. Plus it is better than relying on strong pain killers that take much longer to work.

Work well and stay stuck on, however did feel there could have potentially been a greater degree of heat felt.

Have used these heat patches for a few years as needed. I have found them to be better than other similar products. I would highly recommend them.

They didn't stick to my back and the filling just all fell to the bottom. These had likely been stored in the heat. Tried one the rest will go in the refuse

Over the past four years I have developed a very severe case of rheumatoid arthritis. Recently I had been able to get only three hours of interrupted sleep all night because I kept waking up with very severe pain across both shoulders, and even a prescription painkiller was not always very effective. I tried these patches, one on each shoulder...and the very first night I slept the entire night through, and I woke up with no pain in my shoulders. Since then I have used these patches frequently, and each time they have been very, very effective. Using them has helped put my life on a much more normal track because I am rested and have less pain;therefore, I have reliable energy for my daytime activities again.
