I want to use it for a slow-rotating (0.5RPM) motorised turntable with a max load of 5kg, but does it provide a smooth and low resistance movement?

Used just in the centre of a patio table with sauces etc it has been quite smooth for us. 5kg might take a little bit of effort but ours does turn quite easily. Sorry I can't be more help.

Is this suitable for spinning acrylic paints on canvas?
