Great quality
The saying 'you get what you pay for' applies here. One thing that everyone should have in life, is a good quality pencil. In fact, stationery in general should be decent quality. I still request such things as birthday/Christmas presents. My children don't own cheap pencils either. I have no time for them in my busy life. That along with a decent sharpener will save the anguish of constant sharpening. Now, this is where this ROtring pencil comes in. ROtring is an iconic brand when it comes to mechanical pencils. They are built to last. Just by picking up this pencil, you can feel the quality and this is the ROtring value offering. This comes in a standard blister pack with a refill and eraser. This feels comfortable in the hand, it's triangular and rubberised giving great grip support. As this is the ROtring tikky pencil, it is made of plastic (as expected) which keeps it lightweight. Writing with this feels smooth and you can really feel the difference. There is none of that 'scratching' that you get with cheap push pencils that you can buy in a discount store. This is a great pencil for the average user and maybe more useful for writing/maths class than as an art/DT class. It is not the professional pencil of choice but it is a value offering from a *high quality brand*. For £6, this is money well spent and will last a long time.

Love Tikky
I've had rOtring Tikky pencils since the mid-80's when I was doing engineering drawing at school. Great quality, quite durable and they look nice. I've tried others, but I always come back to them (esp. the 0.35mm for fine lines).

Its a mechanical pencil!
Always used Rotring equipment when I studied technical drawing and drafting when I was much younger, so I am pleased with the quality of this pencil by a renowned manufacturer. Grips the thin lead well. Though am missing the thin needle usually stuck in the bottom of the eraser that helps clear out short lead stuck in the tip. Always recommend Rotring.

Excellent Rotring product
I've been using Rotring products for 40 years and their pens are second to none. As an aspiring artist I'm always on the lookout for new techniques and mechanical pencils appear to be in use now more than ever. I therefore was pleased to see that Rotring had a range of Tikky mechanical pencils and I bought this set of three. They are well made, an excellent product, and surprisingly low cost. I was also pleased to see there's a variety of leads (not just HB) though there's no need to stick to Rotring for these. I now have several of these pencils dotted around for use on different projects. Overall it's cheaper to buy one of these pencils (which comes with some spare leads) than buying a top rate artists pencil (like a Derwent product). Highly recommended.

Highly Recommended. Absolutely Brilliant, but then again Rotring don’t ever do mediocre!
As the saying goes “They Do Exactly As Described On The Tin”. These are Rotring devices which is a great issue in their favour. The build quality is very hard to beat and impossible if trying to match such great build quality with such a decent price. There are some of higher specs, with a price to match but they are intended mostly for the professional draughtsman that prefers a paper layout before using a computer! All in all, they are great at what they do (including artistic drawings) and far better than good for things they weren’t intended for. Highly recommended - though long term use might show up problems though I seriously doubt it.

Pencil GOOD, built-in eraser BAD
The pencil is great and comes with extra cartridges, however the built-in eraser is awful. It does come with a full-size eraser but I prefer to use the one built-in the pencil (a lot quicker and more comfortable), but I only used this one like 3 times on notebook paper, and it broke off. Even when it was still attached, it was difficult to use (felt very unstable).
