5 stars to applaws pet food!
Applaws pet food i generally think is the best pet food I've ever bought. All the animals love it. It's so natural and affordable. The wet food they love and they like the chicken kitten biscuits they will happily eat a big bowl of biscuits between the 2 of the cats in one day

Has a funny smell
I have a very fussy 6 month kitten, his normal food is the seriously good chicken from pets at home, it has been out of stock for some time so I set about trying to find something my boy would eat, this brand is meant to be very similar, the pets at home brand is a complete food where this is a complementary one, it looks more like a pate than chicken breast but the worst thing was the smell. I can’t actually describe it but it does not smell like chicken, my boy was not keen so it looks like the local cat charity will get another donation

NOT a complete food, but my kittens love it!
As a Maine Coon owner, I thought that they had distorted my view of how small kittens are -I bought a bonded pair of basic British moggie kittens as being 8 weeks old, and was only told that the smaller of the two was from a smaller cat, sibling to the other mother but the cats mothered both litters equally. When I saw them in the daylight and out of the basket playing in their pen, the size discrepancy was really clear, so, vet check. While both were healthy, the larger one was around 6 weeks, the smaller probably four weeks. She was only mostly weaned, but she eats both wet and dry food, so commercial kitten milk would be fine (instead of formula). The bet recommended I carry on with the applaws or thrive dry food to keep the food quality at it’s best. I wasnt expecting much -neither of my other cats liked it, so I bought a small pack and a box of Blink. Blink was ok, the plate lasted the day and after a good while the plate would be empty. The Applaws chicken (with rice) was a revelation! They were at the gate to their enclosure seconds after the tin lid came off, the youngest literally jumping onto my arms to get to the plate of food, and it was gone within 10 minutes, with the plate licked clean of all traces. They love the taste and texture, it’s very obviously Actual Chicken and smells delicious. More than that it helped calm their digestive system, which helps me, of course. I’m so glad the vet recommended something that in combination with the Tesco kitten milk and Thrive had visibly worked to put weight onto them, giving then the energy needed too play hard. So that’s a clear win in my book. Subscription placed, my only brief moan is that it isn’t a complete food, merely a complementary one, supplement. I think it could be enriched to be even better for them.

Great quality, great value for money
My cat is very fussy and dislikes most cat food. He turns his nose up at almost everything and insists that I cook him meat to eat usually BUT he had his nose in his bowl before I even finished emptying the tin! Obviously it is good quality as he couldn't wait to tuck in. He ate most of it in one sitting, which again is rare! You get a good amount for the money. It's a far better deal than buying from a supermarket

Kitten gobbles up the tuna flavour but not so keen on the chicken.
The breeder was feeding this to my kitten in addition to a complete dry food. I keep the biscuits down all day and give him half a tin, twice a day. He's coming up for 4 months and coming along really well. I'm very happy with this kitten food, as is my baby. I don't think he's very keen on the chicken as it takes him all day and night to eat the whole tin and sometimes I end up throwing some of it. But, as far as the tuna variety is concerned he will usually go to it as soon as I put the half tin down and gobble it up in one sitting. It looks like real tuna as you see when you open up a can of tuna at home, so I feel good that I'm feeding my baby good quality meat. The only negative I have to say about the kitten food is I really hate the smell of it. It's a small price to pay though, for a happy and well fed kitten. Would recommend!

Not as advertised don't be fooled,
It's expensive, but it's the only kitten food that my 12 week old kitten will eat, so I have no choice but to buy it, it's cheaper from here than it is from pets at home 3 weeks on and Miss Tee is still eating this. I had a problem, there was a big air bubble in one tin, and I don't know what was niggling me, but I weighed all the tins from the 24 pack, the ones I had left, around a dozen, and the weight varied immensely. A clean tin and lid weighed 25g, and the tins I had left ranged from 85g to 96g, most were in the 80's range, which means that you don't get 70g of food in the tin, I've been in contact with Applaws, but a week later and I'm still waiting for customer service to get back to me, not the sellers fault, but thought I'd let people know. They seem to have resolved the issue with weights, and customer care when I actually got through to them, were very good. Update : I reodred this as usual and it's now more of a claggy pate, there's no broth I emailed and they said it's supposed to be like that, yet its advertised as being in broth, it's definitely changed since I started buying it in March, despite the problem with the weight of the tins, which seems to be OK now, but I have to find another kitten food as she refuses to eat this now, the chicken flavour is the worse, she will eat the tuna cat food in tins, which is wetter and looks like tuna, no rice to pad it out, its an expensive kitten, or cat food, and I'd expect it to be as advertised. I've tried so many of the applaws range, the chicken with thyme and the tuna with thyme she doesn't like, it does say its in gravy, but its more of a broth, and not so much chicken or tuna in it. Yet another update :I've been buying applaws kitten food since February, as my kitten has allergies, usually have tuna, bought this as a change for her, but its claggy, has rice in and has no broth whatsoever, it states in the information that its in broth, but it's more of a pate, my kitten has refused to eat it, and she will usually eat anything. I won't be buying it again. Its expensive compared to the usual cat food brands, but I'd willingly pay if it was consistent with the ads and if she ate it. Update: after I pointed out that it wasn't in broth, itss claggy and I had to mix water in it for her to be able to actually get it down, they said that it was supposed to be like that, so I replied and said that it states its with broth as the advert showed, they got back to me and said, there was a problem with the actual advert, they've since changed it to being in jelly. IT'S NOT IN JELLY, IT'S A CLAGGY PATE, the tuna is the same, I've been buying it for 4 months, it's expensive, get it right, now I've found another cat food, one she isn't allergic to, she sneezes after most of the other cat foods, its webbox natural cat food in gravy, it's £2.91 a kilo from Tesco, approx £10 a kilo cheaper than this and doesn't make her sneeze, so I have now changed. Im usually a loyal customer, but why buy expensive food that isn't as advertised, please don't the mistake I did. You'd have thought they would have let customers know it was changing the actual food. Customer service was very good, but not this time, I was treated like an annoying fly to be swatted. It was their mistake.
