Fill bowl/stainless steel sink with approximately 6 litres of warm tap water, add 8.8oz (250g) of salt and stir well. 2. Dissolve contents of dye sachet in 500ml of warm water and add to dye bath. 3. Add clean, damp item to be dyed and, wearing rubber gloves, work the dye into the fabric for 15 minutes. 4. Used the dye to die the whole top and came out beautifully. It is a silk top and even with the sensibility of the material it still worked great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked well but pale *by A***U on 28 August 2024* Have used Dylan dyes before in a machine nd they are very good. This one took an hour in a bowl with stirring regularly so needed to be busy in the kitchen really. Colour took well and evenly though was paler than I was expecting.
