Difficult install, no mounting screws.
Update: The seller worked with my concerns and I am completely satisfied with the out come. I didnt know that newer homes come with an electrical outlet in the cabinet above the stove. This is a great company that stands behind what they sell and you can't ask for more than that. Highly recommend Over my life time, I have installed 5 range hood vents. This was the most difficult. It came wired with a plug which I don't understand. Where do you plug in a vent hood without seeing the cord? So, I hard wired it, the 2 holes already in the vent hood were not large enough for a wire clamp so I had to drill a 1/2 inch hole and that takes a carbide hole saw because of the stainless. Why this weighs as much as it does, idk. Crazy, no reason for the excessive weight. I did install this by myself. I cut a 1x6 60 1/2 inches long and when the vent hood was in place, I wedged the 1x6 on one side of the vent hood. I had to install an electrical box inside the vent hood with double sticky tape for my wiring connections. The lights do a good job of lighting the stove top but are weak and yellow, this is not a living room, this is a kitchen where I need bright light,an option to purchase with the brighter 6000k lights would have been nice. $40 to change two bulbs. Your kidding me right? Finally installed, there is a 1/2 inch gap on both sides of the vent hood. 1st time I have ever seen this on any vent hood. Amazon listing states the fan is ultra quite. True, when the fan is off. On level one, the fan is mildly noisy. Level 4, the noise is very loud. Vent hood does look nice and the remote works well but it's faster to adjust the hood than it is to pick up the remote. No reason for a remote in my opinion. I have never seen a vent hood without fine mesh filtering screens. Time will tell how filthy the inside of the vent hood will become.

Great Hood, Great Price, Great Customer Service
We bought this range hood for our rental unit because we had problems with cooking smells lingering. We picked this because of the CFM rating, PRICE, easy cleaning, and appearance. Installation: Installation was straightforward and as basic as any other range hood. This was hung under a short kitchen cabinet which had a 3/4 inch empty space up to the cabinet floor. I added a 3/4 inch strip of wood under each side of the cabinet to bring the mounting surface flush with the cabinet face. Performance: The range hood sucks hard. It lives up to the CFM ratings. The noise is comparable to the level of suction. It is quieter than my expensive 1000 CFM hood in my house. It is louder than the 325 CFM hood that was there before. The stainless steel filters are easy to remove and reinstall for cleaning unlike my home hood where each time it is a puzzle and fight with extra spacer bars. Customer service: When it arrived, the two stainless steel filters were warped from shipping damage. Customer service immediately shipped us replacement filters. Came in a couple days. Boom, no hassle, no arguments. We inquired about buying a replacement remote in the future in case a tenant loses it. They sent another remote on their dime. Came in a couple days. Boom, no hassle, no arguments. Thank you to Emma! We are satisfied buyers.

This vent hood sucks! 😉
My husband and I enjoy cooking, but we don’t enjoy the smells that linger after the meal is done. So, it was a sad day when our previous hood died. After much research, we ordered this one, which at 900 cfm, moves 300 cfm more air out of the house than our old hood did more quietly. This hood is convertible- it can either be vented outside or set to recirculate. Ours is vented outside. If it weren’t for two things, I would give this vent hood five stars - the unattractive iKitch logo on the front, and the controls. There are three ways to operate the fan on this hood: by pressing a touch pad to cycle the fan through four speeds; a remote control; and waving at it. The remote went into a box in the pantry, where it will stay until the hood dies (hopefully, not for a long time), or we die (again, hopefully not for a long time), and someone finds it in the box and wonders what the heck it operates. As for waving… determined to master this touchless mode of operation, my husband and I spent a lot of time perfecting our waving technique to operate the fan. A wave across the sensors from left to right turns on and increases the fan speed, while a wave from right to left lowers or turns off the fan. At this point, two weeks after installation, we have about a 90% success rate of getting it to work without multiple waves. Good thing it does have the low tech option of pressing the touch pad. Waving will turn on the hood light, but won’t turn it off. 🤷♀️ Oh, and the operations manual is poorly translated. I still have no idea how to operate the timer. Since I use the timer on the oven, or use Siri to time things, this is a minor issue. Other features we like are the rounded corners, the dimmable LED lights, and the filters that are easily removed for cleaning. All in all, we are very pleased with this purchase, especially at this price point.

Excellent range hood, very powerful and efficient in eliminating cooking odors and smoke. Cannot smell anything when a more than a few feet away from the stove. Very sleek and modern looking. The 2 bulbs supply a bright light that really lights up that area of the kitchen and I love how the lights gently fade away instead of immediately turning off, when they are switched off. Also has a variable timer so you can set it to shut off automatically after a certain number of minutes and then walk away. Yes, it is a little loud especially at levels 3 and 4, but it is bearable and not any worse than most other range hoods I’ve seen in operation. Level 2 is likely enough for most cooking anyway. Only two minor gripes, although detailed instructions were supplied on how to install it, which was quicker than I expected, there were no instructions on how to actually operate it, so had to figure its settings/features out. Secondly, the ‘gesture mode’ is far too sensitive and just opening the cabinet above it switches it on, as does when cleaning the unit near the gesture sensors. The settings also may change during operation if hands are accidently waved in close proximity. Unfortunately, don’t think this sensitivity can be toned down. Overall, very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to others.

Really great hood fan, lots of power and great features. PROS: - fairly straightforward install - powerful fan - clean look CONS: - this guy weighs a TON! This wasn’t an easy one person install. - electrical comes out the top, so it doesn’t sit flush unless you notch out your shelf - loud (granted it has lots of power) but even at its lowest setting it’s loud. But for the price, I highly recommend it!

Beautiful hood range. Heavy duty for sure. No damage upon arrival. Everything worked. This is a great vent for people that like to cook. We did need to hire someone to put it in as our old one was hardwired into the house and I wanted the same with this one. It took him 1.5 hours start to finish. This hood range vents from the top or the back. That's a great option to have! It's quiet on levels 1 and 2. Levels 3 and 4 are a bit too loud for me. Our dog literally runs for cover on setting 4! It is super sensitive to motion. I don't like that the lights turn all the way up when I reach for a cookbook (above the range) and the fan turns on to the highest setting and tries to give me a heart attack! Why not turn on to the lowest setting.....IDK. However, I believe there is a way to turn off that function and operate the range completely manually?

Compared to our old 30-year-Old range hood, this one is awesome. The only con is that it weighs a lot more. It is quiet, powerful and bright, so it makes it a delight to cook under, and the fact that the fan can come on with just a swipe of your hand is really helpful. Yes, just move your hand one way past the two sensors and the fan goes high and then move your hand the other way past the two sensors and the fan goes slower. One more time and it’s off. The hood lights are pretty bright and can be dimmed. The baffles are easy to take out/put in and are easily washed. I also like that the latch to handle the baffles is hidden and locks the baffles in place. Well worth the price!
