There's no tool to help. Make sure the window runner is clean then to make it easier use a cloth with some washing up liquid on, wipe the runner 1st with it and this should help it slide on easier.

Q: Does this product fit all double glazed windoes and doors ?

We cannot guarantee it fits ALL as there are so many different types/styles/sizes but it is a universal seal and fits most upvc frames.

Q: can this be used externally around the glass between glass and upvc frame? The original wedge gasket has shrunk and water is coming in window.

I don't think so. I used it for frame round upvc door which was perfect.

Q: How well does this block sound from entering and escaping the room (of an internal door)? Does this create a 100% airtight seal aswell? Thanks

This rubber seal is a replacement seal for upvc door and windows. I would not use it on any other type of door and would struggle to believe that you have upvc internal doors in your house. I think that foam strip would be better solution for internal doors. No matter what seal you fit the door must apply gentle pressure on it without any gaps to ensure good seal.
