I’ve been using this tahini regularly and it’s really impressed me. The texture is smooth and creamy, not thick or gritty like some brands I’ve tried before. The flavor tastes clean and nutty with no bitterness at all. It mixes easily into sauces, dressings, and hummus without needing extra oil. I also like that it’s 100% pure sesame with no unnecessary additives. The two-jar pack is convenient and lasts a good while if you cook often. This has quickly become a staple in my kitchen for both savory dishes and dips. I would recommend highly, Thank you!

This a great tasting, smooth tahini with a rich taste. OPENING BOTTLE - The tahini comes well sealed/protected in a plastic bottle. My only complaint with this product is how hard it is to open. To remove the cap, there is a plastic pull tab that is used to pull off a plastic ring that attaches the cap to the bottle. Every time I have tried to remove the plastic ring, it breaks. This leaves the cap still locked to the bottle and I have to use scissors or a knife to remove the rest of the ring. Then, once the ring is off, I can pull the cap off. But it’s not over yet! Once the cap is off, there is a clear plastic film over the opening that must be removed. Ideally, this film would have a little pull tab on it that would make it easy to pull off. It doesn’t. No matter how many times I buy this brand, I always have to stab the plastic film with a knife and cut it off. CAP - Once the plastic ring and plastic film are removed, the cap is easily removed and replaced. Too easily, in fact. I always fear that the top will pop off. I would not recommend dropping the bottle! STIRRING - Aside from these problems, the tahini itself is great! What I especially love is that it doesn’t require too much stirring when I first open it. Usually, tahini separates when it is not refrigerated. That is, the oil rises to the top and the tahini on the bottom gets very thick. Maybe it’s because I store my tahini upside down before I opened it, but this tahini has almost no separation and no thick spots. Once opened, I always refrigerate it. SMOOTH - As for consistency, this tahini is perfect. It is very creamy and smooth. While it is not as thick as peanut butter, it is not runny either. It is a very happy median. YUMMY - It also tastes very rich without that overpowering bitter taste that I have experienced with other brands of tahini. I really enjoy the taste. I’ve used it in salad dressings (just lemon juice and tahini), homemade hummus, as part of my oatmeal, and as a standalone spread for bananas. It is equally delicious for all uses! OVERALL - Once you get past opening the bottle, this is a great product.

This is the best tahini I've ever had. I've had other tahinis, some directly from the Middle East (via friends), and some purchased in the grocery store. What I don't like about those is that they totally separate, and you've got concrete on the bottom and oil on top. It's always hard to get it mixed back up. This brand was mixed, no separation. It's a thinner tahini; I don't know what they did to make it so much better. And the flavor...omg. I always liked tahini IN things or as the base of dressings, but never to take a bite. I also don't like peanut butter. But I had to restrain myself from just eating it...it was that delicious. (Eating a spoonful like people do with peanut butter.) It's thinner than peanut butter, which isn't my experience of twenty plus years of using tahini. But I LOVE this consistency. So much easier to work with. Seriously, this stuff is the best ever, and I don't think I'll ever use another brand unless Amazon stops selling it. I did have an unfortunate issue, but I didn't reflect that in my five-star rating. Both jars were leaking. Slowly. It took me forever to realize that both jars were leaking because I had them sitting side by side in the pantry. I would pick the open one up to get some tahini, and there would be a puddle of stuff. I kept thinking I was somehow not getting the lid on correctly, but eventually I realized both were leaking. The unopened one, I finally discovered, has a vertical slice, like it was done with a carton opener (but it's so perfectly straight, I think it had to be by machine). I can't find the hole in the second one, so it's got to be a pinhole somewhere. I think this was just a freak occurrence, bad luck. And Amazon did a fine job of making it right...I've returned the two jars and have another set ordered. Amazon expedited the shipping on it.

I initially gave this product only 1 star because one jar's seal was broken and leaking, and all the jars weighed only 12 oz., not 16 oz as advertised. I contacted the seller, and he immediately apologized and sent me a replacement jar. The replacement jar weighed in at a good 16 oz. I re-weighed the others on a more level surface, and they all weighed a good 16 oz. each. So, this deal is not a rip-off. I've bought it a lot over the years. The tahini is excellent.
