Medium Roast? More like Dark, a lovely coffee......but strong.
Spiller & Tait Pure Colombian Huila. This is a review of the Beans in the header.....not some other beans which some reviewers have posted on here and are therefore misleading. This is supposed to be a 'Medium Roast' but is more 'Dark Roast' than any 'Dark Roast' beans I've ever had and that includes from the likes of Rave and Coffeeworks. Could it be a 'roast' anomaly? I don't know but if you are a 'medium' roast fan these are not for you. Setting the 'roast' aside this is a 'wow' coffee. It has a fabulous aroma when grinding and when brewing either in my Gaggia Classic or a Mokka pot. My 'standard' espresso coffee brew is 20grms coffee to 75ml espresso output. My Mokka is large and takes 320ml water......Espresso makes a lovely flat white with chocolate and nutty aftertaste. It is not the slightest bit acidic. From the Mokka I get around 280ml out and it makes a very strong 600ml Americano......Again it has the chocolate/nutty aftertaste and is very smooth. If you like a smooth, non acidic coffee with a lingering aftertaste of chocolate and nuts, possibly a bit of caramel thrown in then I can thoroughly recommend this. PS...I'm usually a one coffee a day person but with this...I'm on my third today.

Good coffee but the full asking price is ludicrous
Nice tasting coffee. I would buy again. It's ok at £17 kilo but I definitely wouldn't pay the astronomical full price they are asking for it. Plenty of others just as good out there costing much less.

Great tasting coffee, ideal for espresso
I'm really pleased with this Spiller & Tait Classic Italian Blend 1kg bag of coffee beans. On opening the pouch you receive a beautiful hit of fresh coffee. I'm using it for espresso, so it gets a fine ground (around 30 seconds) and produces a smooth yet flavourful liquid with a good level of crema. The coffee is smooth with a good hit of caffeine. Strength for me is very much an Italian Roast, so if scaled between 1 and 5 it would be a 4 which I really like. I tend to be more towards the 4 / 5 personally, so Italian and French roasts are my preference and this works perfectly for me. Beans grind nicely, and you could go for a slightly more course grind for a cafitiere, but for me that would be a bit of a waste as it's perfect for espresso. At the time of review 1Kg is priced at £18.39 which is a pretty good price. You can subscribe and save which brings the price down to £16.55 but I change beans very often, depending on what is on offer, but I'll be back for some more of this whenever it reasonably priced. Overall, it's a beautifully smooth coffee. Strong but without any bitterness so should suit most people's taste

Really Nice Tasting Coffee Beans
Really nice coffee. Freshly ground in my coffee grinder and made into a lovely latte. Smooth tasting coffee and you can taste the subtle fruity flavour. Good value for money all round.

Review was wrote while tasting my espresso
I am happy to provide you with a super positive review of Premium Arabica, and Robusta Medium Coffee. This coffee blend is absolutely amazing, and it's definitely one of the best coffees I have ever had the pleasure of drinking from the comfort of my home. First of all, the aroma of this coffee is simply heavenly. As soon as you open the bag, you're greeted with a rich, deep, and incredibly inviting scent that immediately tells you that you're in for a treat. The beans are beautifully roasted, and they give off a lovely nutty aroma that is simply irresistible. When you brew this coffee, the taste is just as incredible as the aroma. The premium Arabica and Robusta beans are expertly blended to create a rich, smooth, and complex flavor profile that is both delicious and satisfying. The crema is beautifully balanced, giving the coffee a velvety texture and a luxurious mouthfeel that is simply divine. One thing I love about this coffee is its versatility. It's perfect for both espresso and filter coffee, and it's equally delicious whether you drink it black or with milk. The coffee is also incredibly consistent, so you can be sure that every cup you make will be just as delicious as the last. Overall, I cannot recommend this Coffee highly enough. This coffee is an absolute delight to drink, and it's perfect for anyone who appreciates a good cup of coffee. So go ahead and give it a try - I promise you won't be disappointed!
